The Big Thread of Unusual Trumps

Hey all, in this thread, you describe some unusual trump. Its unusual in some way, either the form it has, or the image on it being of a mysterious person or place, etc etc.

Just to start, here's a couple:

1. A trump drawn as a painting on the wall of a cave, there's an image of Oberon, done in a very primitive way, wearing the skin of a lion.

2. A trump with a bright red back, by an unknown artist. It shows an image of Bleys, but in it Bleys is missing an eye and an arm. Only, you've never known Bleys to have lost either.

3. A chaos trump, without any particular details revealing to which house it belongs; showing a tower of glass on an island surrounded by a sea of fire, with a dark black sky of billowing clouds.

4. a double backed trump showing the white unicorn on green of Amber on both sides, yet still feeling cold to the touch. Does it contact the unicorn itself, or is there more here than meets the eye.

5. a trump of your PC dressed in the exact same clothes he is wearing now, and standing in the bar of the roadside tavern at which you stayed last night. And which he has never visited before.

7. a trump depicting the Grand Concourse in Amber. But on closer inspection a favoured cafe is on the wrong side of the street, and the road in the trump bends left when it should go right - in fact the entire trump is a mirror image of the real location! But why? And what advantage is there of having access to the "mirror" Amber? Is this trump the only way to access this mirror city given the difficulty of shifting through Shadow this close to the centre of things?

8. an old trump clearly painted in the style of Dworkin depicting Oberon as a young man. But who is the other boy standing next to him so alike that they could be twins?

In the last campaign I ran, his name was Finvaerra, and he was lord of the realm of Avaelon that radiated its own Shadow network, with his own line of children and the power source they initiated themselves into in order to travel those "facet realms", as they called them...

Anyway, back to the spirit of the thread:

9. In a vast desert wasteland, a single, spired mountain rises like the impact point of a vast craterous explosion. A vast, black fortress wraps itself around the spire as if to reinforce it. At the peak blazes a fire. Flanking the mountain, about two-thirds of the way up, are giant balls of flame that appear as though they were eyes gazing back at you. Looks something like this:

10) A thin mirror, or a medium of highly polished reflective surface, (looks like a pocket mirror to the unknowing), painted upon by an alternative wavelength paint, (infrared, UV, black-light...), or lasered-in etched @ an angle so only direct head-on vision is required to see image.
Princess Candice is know for looking in the mirror quite a bit... is it vanity, or scrying? Or something beyond?

11) Same premise, but a trap, people approach / 'look into' mirrors more readily than paintings.

And as Henrick struggles to keep his lunch, an extreme vertigo comes over him as he's sucked into his reflection, fade to black...
Does him mirror come here? A-la Proton/Phase?  
(Always loved that Peirs Anthony idea.)

12)Trumps that are sentient with personality
"Mirror mirror in my palm, who is the one with whom I've this Qualm?"
"Flame crowned princess, the one that thou seeks,

I would be interested in hearing jibbajibba's extrapolation's on this mirror idea...
The Shroudling and the Guisel got me thinkin' a few years back.
God, I love the direction Roger was going in with Amber... I don't suppose he ever let anyone in on it?
Erick, I pay you homage & swear fealty. I have always envied those who gamed with you as I think some of those sessions Roger would love to have seen, (Has he ever ventured a gaming session with you?).
I could conceive some of your story lines would follow the story, Roger bequeathed us, very well.

This is an awesome Trump! Beautiful artwork and technique.
Looking at it, one could easily not make the "eyes" connection without seeing it abstractly.
The top of the tower/focus point pulls you away from the center of the picture, and the eyes see you before you see them. Cool
If you don't let on it, I would be interested in seeing how long your players take to figure it. :ponder:
