Title: Trump Fortune-Telling
Post by: RPGPundit on January 26, 2007, 11:10:23 PM
How many of you have made regular use of Trump Scrying in your games? In mine, its come up (usually) once or twice per campaign, but never became something of great regularity.

How do you handle trump scrying? The way that Wujcik suggested it in the book, or do you have some other method?

I have had several players who have had great fun doing trump readings.

The way I handle it is to tel lthe player lay out cards, and in character, decide what they mean.  I listen to the interpretation, and if I think it's cool, I might make some of it come true if the opportunity presents itself.

I once played with someone who did half a dozen scrys every time he made a major decision.  Whereas I, who played a Trump Master and so could have gotten the best results, never did them.

The way we always did it was the GM picked the cards for the spread and let you work out what it meant.  Maybe that was why I never liked 'em... they relied too much on what the GM thought each card meant in the grand scheme of things, rather than what you thought they represented.
