This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've been mucking about with GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) for close to a decade. Recently I started using it to make Trumps for Elder Amberites that i plan to use for my campaign. I have a few finished and figured I would share them here. All questions, comments, feedback and criticism is welcome.

Disclaimer, some of these are very rough drafts.

I like this one, but I don't know who it should be. I'm currently leaning toward Merlin. Any suggestions?

*Edited* Made the color changes. Gonna use this one as Merlin

They're all very good!  And yes, Merlin came to mind with the last one.

Thanks for saying so. I realized after posting the first two (Brand & Eric) that I had made Trumps for Elders that will be dead in my campaign.

I'm not very happy with the way Julian turned out. The armor is right, and young Michael Wincott is how I've always seen Julian in my head. I just didn't do a very good job of splicing the images. I'll have to keep working on that one.

Thanks for the input about Merlin, now I can stop looking for different Base images to use for him. Might make the shirt he is wearing purple just to get the colors right.

And put a Commodore 64 in beside him.

They looks good.  I especially like the Brand one.

I have been using Paintshop Pro 7 since the late 90s since i like it, its not overly complicated, and its quick.  I have created dozens and dozens of PC, NPC, and Place trumps with it.  Vast apologies to the images i kyped to make them but its not like im making money off them or claiming i did the original art!

My first campaign was in the early 90s and i had to photcopy and hand cut and past to make the trumps.  But the were cool, if in black and white.  ah youth...

Luck, is just a construct, Mr Riess

Because somebody on the google+ community asked so nicely I figured I'd add this one here as well.

Nice!

Although I pictured it as silver, who knows why

My guess would be because the original image (which is not mine) is in black and white. My goal on this one was just pretty desktop art, more than making an accurate representation. Hence the "Is this your card?" bit at the top.

Couple of new Trumps. Most likely from a chaos deck.

The original images are of Spomenik. Got inspired after I saw a cracked.com article that showed off a couple of them.
