Well interestingly most Swedish porn isn't Swedish at all its American. The Germans make suff but no where near as large scale as the Americans and hte Freech are all about Erotica. Of course this is all from my excedingly limited experience :)
I heard an excellent quote recently. A report had come out showing Americans had much more sex than Europeans. Counties were rated and US were top of the tree. A reporter asked the French Ambassador what he thought about this and he replied 'Americans also eat more food than the French. This does not make them better chefs.'

Hmmm, is the claim being made that the US porn industry is the world's largest in absolute numbers or per capita? Also is there a distinction between web and other media / platforms? Seems like it would make a difference.
