Very neat. I'm guessing it takes at least initiation or even some investigation to "feel" the level of a specific shadow, right? I like it (it's mixable with your other idea, about ranking tech too, which I also liked).

Good, one reply is sufficient in my mine to make it a rule :)

i will take Pundy's Sorcery rule tweak it slightly, add this and then post on the site as the offical sorcery guide. I will use partial powers as a limit to the type of lynchpins and effects you can create.

any estimate of when you will be able to PM again and start round 3 of the auction, jibba? after two weeks wait, my patience is a bit strained :)

looking at that map, i hope the city of Amber is bigger. 100 m isnt that far really. or perhaps the larger portion of the city is outside those walls?

well, round one ended on the 8th, about 2 weeks ago. and on the 13th, he posted in this thread(page 9) about still waiting on some round 2 bids...

it has been pretty quiet in here on the topic of the auction. i guess none of us want to tip our hand too early. technically we are still in round 2, albeit very late in the round.

Yes agree with the auction will Draw round 2 to an end on Sunday. Still have 3 bids outstanding so will have to assume that those guys won;t bid in round 2.

As for the city yeah its odd as Dubrovnik seems much much bigger when you are in it. But no fear as I say "will be based on" so worry not the final Amber map will be bigger.

Okay I have sent out round 2 results.

Plan is for me to get everything in a go state for 2 weeks. Ideally by then the characters would all be in and all the wiki homepages would be ready to go. With an outline of the characters and a complete character Quiz I can start doing the turn 0 openings.

When do we allocate Sanctum positions?  I'd like to include some of that in my character history (people Galfor works with, for example), but it would help to know what exactly his responsibilities are.

Once the base characters are in we will assign positions runnign from Highest PI down, with sucession - that pool of Good stuff in amber if you recall- deciding any ties.
If you intend to have a bunch of allies then I suggest you assign a few points and then when you know your position you can assign them roles.
You don't need to do that though as each role come with a number of such folks however those guys will be more loyal to the post than the encumbent.
Similarly if you have allies you want to get positions in the Sanctum you get to do that after the PCs have chose positions. So making your stooge Duke of Cloisters (head of the Amber Castle guard) for example Master of the Hunt or whatever.... Assigning such positions is also somethign you do with Political influence and basically you vote on this stuff in the build phase iusing PI as your number of votes. Once the game starts all Sanctum votes are done on a 1 Warden 1 vote basic with the Overwarden having the deciding vote in a tie. Of course this is all at teh whim of the King and he can override any Sanctum Vote
