BTW, I have a trump for Galfor on the way - just not finished yet.  I'm about as non-artistic as you can get (even my stick figures look bad, and my players constantly make fun of my drawing skills when I DM) but I have an aunt that is actually pretty good - she's going to give it a try for me.

OK - I'm not real familiar with the Wiki thing, so I'd like to test out a few things.  As a test, I'd like to create a conversation between me and someone else (edit rights for both) with nobody else having access.  Any volunteers to either join the conversation or try to "eavesdrop" and make sure I do this correctly?  The conversation will not be in character - it'll just be a couple of lines for each of us so that I can get the hang of this.

Also, I assume everyone's user name is the same as their character - let me know if that is not the case.

Nice to see so much movement on the Wiki, okay nice to see some movement on the wiki, okay thanke to the couple of people who have posted to the wiki:)

Playing about with the attachment option means you can easily upload your own images to your homepage or to anywhere else. You can upload from any place using the attachments button on the page then reference in the page as {{attachment:Oberon.jpg}}  
This means you can post your own trumps up there rather than emailing to me for review. I am happy to review them on the site and pass judgement.
We still need a number of final character numbers in.
I know that the effort to get this stuff sorted can be a pain but if you can get me your stats at least we can finish off the rest of the character stuff round Sucession and Santum positions and those players that do have more time can get started. As it stands its hard for me to kick anything off until these issues are decided.

If the post you are referring to is 'Pillow talk', then yes it is visible to all (It's also editable by all).

To limit a pages visiblility you must have the #acl line as the first line in the file.

For example:
#acl Elaine:read,write Galfor:read,write,delete,revert,admin All:read
This give Elaine read and write access, Galfor complete access, and everyone else only read access.

It is worth noting that you do not need to give jibbajibba any access ... he can access everything anyway

so if you want to create a page with full access for Degion only, then you would have the following line as the first line in your file:
#acl Degion:read,write,delete,revert,admin

on the other hand if you want to let other people read it, then you can either allocate rights individually:
#acl Degion:read,write,delete,revert,admin Elaine:read Galfor:read
(which would give Degion full rights and would let Elaine and Galfor read the page, but not edit it)

or you allocate general rights:
#acl Degion:read,write,delete,revert,admin All:read
(which would give Degion full rights and would let everyone else read, but not edit, the page)

Sorry to those that find the wiki tricky. I guess to me its all just mark up and I seem to have spent years doign this.

All homepages I set up have the correct acl line for the user
if you do not overwrite that line it will all be fine.

The syntax as Stormwind points out is very simple.

#acl USERNAME: rights,rights,rights

You can add new users with a space or if its easier as a separate line.

In addition you can define groups of users by creating a new page with the format NameGroup. in that page you just list the users one user per like with an * at the front of each one.

So for example

Create ChaosGroup

inside that group

#acl Owner:read,write,revert,delete,admin
* Elaine
* Helel
* Whispar

that means you can then use ChaosGroup as a name for future acls just like you use individual accounts now.

If you don't put an acl on the Group file then anyone can edit it

Well if you logout the default setting is viewable by all so if you logout and you can still see your page in recent updates it didn't work

OK - I think I'm just about set for Turn 0.  I've got some info on Galfor loaded up on the Wiki for everyone.  Two of the three pages were previously posted (the room description and the story of how he got his spear).  I also added a description of the Soggy Wench - a tavern where Galfor spends a lot of his time.

So unless someone tells me otherwise, I think I'm ready to go.

Okay I still have gaps but the other characters have til tomorrow to get bids to me or I will kick off the sanctum places (also here in an open draw top down) and set the genealogy with what I have.
