Title: [LoO/Amber] Absence of Social Mechanics
Post by: RPGPundit on October 14, 2012, 04:02:11 PM
I thought I'd ask: is there anyone who's actually a fan of Amber, or a new fan of Lords of Olympus, for whom the absence of social mechanics from the game (something I consider very much a feature) is not desirable?

If so, how do you handle it?

I like personality mechanics when they feel right, and not when they don't. I know that's not very helpful. :)

It would be interesting to have some kind of obsession system for LoA, given how easily the Greek gods went berserk over their various obsessions. But so far, with a few sessions played, I haven't felt their absence as a big deal, either.

I'd love to hear more details about those sessions: hope you're having fun!
