This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

First Game I bought & ran in 2013

I've had a vague idea for a diceless game I wanted to run about demigods who are working to thwart the schemes of "the Crucifiers"--an otherworldly threat hell-bent on destroying all divinity in the multiverse.

I looked at Nobilis 3e for a second, but god-damn that thing seems fundamentally unplayable.

Someone suggested Lords of Olympus and it is exactly what I was looking for.  Played the first session last night since three players were over last night and we couldn't decide on what else to play.  It was excellent.

This will definitely get played again.

(Also, I want to note that I actually think Lords of Olympus is a better game than Amber.  Someone lent me Amber years ago and I couldn't make heads or tails of it, but LoO has a far easier to follow presentation and copious examples that fully explain how the game works.)

LoO was actually the *last* game I bought in 2012. ;-) Still debating what my first game of 2013 will be.

I ordered, but haven't received Mutant Epoch, I've got an itching for some P-A gaming. I don't know if it will be ME or not. I've got Gamma World 4th Edition, Atomic Highway, Waste World, Reclamation, and The Bleak Long Last Crawl into Darkness (prototype), all of which could make for fun games.

It actually went really well.  It was an impromptu game so we skipped the auction and just made characters as suggested by the optional rule.  I felt pretty well-prepared to run it after one read of the book because there were so many examples.

That's great to hear! was it a one-shot or are there plans for more in the future?
