As some of you may have heard, I've recently moved from Shanghai to the San Francisco Bay Area. My new local game store, GameScape, has asked me to run a game for their upcoming role-playing night. Below are the details (I'm #3 on the list).
Erick Wujcik
Monday, March 26th.
Have a look below, and if you'd like to join us for the night, please select a game in which you'd like to participate and either call or write us back with your name and selection. All games are free and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. You'll be responded to immediately with your status in the game. If your first choice is already filled, we can certainly re-route you into a second game, so make sure to list alternates!
Remember: all games start at 6:00. Please arrive a few minutes early to facilitate a quick start.
Game #1 - Monad AI: Industrial Espionage
BESM 3rd ed.
4-6 Players
GM - Aric Clark
Virtual Reality, rocket-powered skates, Exo-Mech suits, genemod pets, corporate corruption, gun-toting mercenaries, high-speed chases... welcome to Imago! Imago is a ruthless anime world of unregulated corporate conglomerates, violent Fault Zone gangs, and ineffectual World Police where those at the fringes of
society learn to be hard to get by or they get beaten hard and passed by. Meridian is one of the largest Mega-Cities on the planet and home to the headquarters of computer and software giant Monad. Monad corporate police patrol the streets and Monad products are installed in every home, car, cellphone and VR interface. Recently the corporation has experienced a leak from their high-security secret lab. If news gets out it could be very damaging to corporate interests. You are the mercenary band "Dragons in Flight" which they have hired to resolve the problem... quietly.
Game #2 - Crystal Planet
Battlestations
4-6 Players
GM - Andrew Pray
Join the Universal Republic Expeditionary Forces (UREF) and crew a spaceship that is being sent to help investigate a highly unusual space anomaly – a planetoid made of pure crystal! This could become a huge boon for the UREF as any scientific advances are needed to aid in the continuing intergalactic war. Be wary of any other spaceships in the vicinity as they could be enemy forces sent to thwart your mission. You can choose your profession (marine, pilot, scientist, engineer) as well as your race (human/one of many alien races). All professions are desperately needed in order to bring peace to the galaxy. Don your battle armor, grab your toolbox or your blaster rifle, strap on your wrist computer, and board your spaceship to save the Universal Republic - Sign up now!
Game #3 - Immortals & Infernals
Rifts China
4-8 Players
GM - Erick Wujcik
Based on both Rifts China 1 and Rifts China 2, with material from the as-yet-unpublished Rifts China 3 & 4, the players will be provided with a range of characters, including Rifts China Mages and Immortals. A conflict between two of the Yama Kings threatens to overrun those who have taken shelter in a remote monastery. No experience necessary with the Palladium Books system, Rifts, or Rifts China, but at least half the players should be familiar with spell-based role-playing systems, and players who have some knowledge of Chinese mythology will be very welcome. Come play with Special Guest GM Erick Wujcik, the writer/designer of a bunch of Palladium Books, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, Revised RECON, Mystic China, and the recent Rifts China books, as well as Amber Diceless Role-Playing. Space is limited!
Game 4- From the Shadows
D&D 3.5 Ravenloft
4-6 Players
GM - Aaron Riutta
In the small hafling town of Rivalis, nestled in the foothills of southern Darkon, a traveling group of aspiring young darkness-hunters are asked to help the town. A prominent farmer and his family have not been heard from in days and the elders of the town are worried. Winter is fast approaching and the town is somewhat dependent on the corn harvest, normally provided by the Littlefoot family and the surrounding farms. The farm is only two days travel by foot, but dark clouds swirl over the town and a visitor appears from the mists. It is a Vistani woman who walks into the middle of the town and throws down a card, laughs, and then walks away. The card shows death and is widely known to symbolise doom. What could be happening at the farmstead and could it bring about the destruction of Rivalis? As the heroes embark on their journey, the shadows begin to stir...

I feel very sorry for the other three poor bastards on that list.
Its like:
"Thursday Night Talent Contest at the Rev Presents:
1. Joe Pisciolla: Local musician for 12 years.
2. Tim Ferguson: 16 year old Tim will be Performing for the very first time tonight in public.
3. Eric Clapton
4. Steve Burrett: Local drummer/guitarrist with 8 years of experience, Burrett will probably spend tonight sobbing like a girl in an empty room."
