This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

After completely failing to happen this year, I have just had news that next year's UK Ambercon has been arranged (from the yahoo group):

After hunting around for an appropriate venue, the De Vere Harben House in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, has been booked for the weekend of the 10th-12th July 2009. Prices and so forth will be forthcoming once things have been finalised and while it does look like it could be a bit more costly than last year, we hope it won't break the bank. The location is conference centre rather than a hotel which has loads of conference rooms and lots of residential rooms - so all games will be held in their own venues. The venue also puts on buffet lunches, coffee/tea, and an English Breakfast (included in the price). The residential rooms themselves are a little on the smallish side, but are more than adequate for our needs. So start saving, pass on the good news, and get folk who aren't on the mailing list, signed up.
