This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Interest in Amber PBP on Facebook?

I was thinking of running a small ADRP play-by-post game on Facebook, and wondered if there was any interest in such a thing.

Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

I myself am not into PbP, but this is probably a good place to find recruits, though it may take a while. If you set something like this up, be sure to post the link and information for us to check it out after!

How do you run a game on FB? You create a group for the game? A bit like a game on a blog: one post by the GM, followed by comments by the players, then move on to next post, and so on?

Sartorius

That's basically right, Benoist.  The Facebook format also allows for separate threads (Amber being an RPG in which the "party" is unusually likely to be split up), and private messages for whenever the GM would be passing the player a note, which is handy.

Been looking for an Amber game to play for a while now.  Would  love to  get in  on one!
Please keep me posted!

Zahir

Count me interested as well.  Please!

I don't play online, but I wish you luck with this, and I'm glad you posted it here.  Let us know if something manifests from this.

I've been looking for an Amber game for some time.  I'd be interested in giving it a try on Facebook.

I'm pretty sure I saw posts of his on the forum as recently as yesterday. Maybe one of you should PM him?
