This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Is there a list of their contents?

I feel for those without Amberzines... like me.

I used to have the first few (1-6) and access to some others.
Now I have none and someone else has access to them all... bastard!
If anyone has access to any PDFs or files of them, please let me know.
I have things to trade.

I almost got all Amberzines for $200 from a guy in England a couple yrs. ago, but I was broke at the time and they went fast.
...sigh, still kickin' myself on that one.

I used to have the first six amberzines, but they were ruined in a flood.

In any case, they didn't really have anything so spectacular as to merit as much interest as they've garnered.  They were mostly fiction and play reports.

I have a full set and wouldn't part with them for the world. They don't have a lot of game content in them, but they do have words of wisdom from Erick (which I count like gold) and they are some of the very few "official" Amber products out there. Sorry you were silly enough to part with 'em.

official or not, I always got way more out of all the Golden Circle webring pages than I did from the Amberzines.

Well, I know they will come back my way some day... in one form or another.
Hardcopy would be best though, as a collector type, ya know.

It does piss me off to see that people actually expect those outrageous prices for them. But if they can get it, more power to them.
But if they are sitting on them with the same high-end price off-balancing the market on them, they are asses.
I can see paying double cover price, but over that is silly.

I have most of them.  I enjoyed reading them.  A lot.  But I agree - there is little there that is not covered better somewhere online.

In part I enjoy the Amberzines for their historical context. Anyone can run Amber, but not many got to play in Erick's Amber.

It's like in D&D where they sell lots of Greyhawk or Blackmoor products, but none can be as special as the actual Gygax or Arneson campaigns.

Just my two cents, however.
