For anyone interested, I'm working on an alternative way to run Amber games over here:
http://www.story-games.com/forums/comments.php?DiscussionID=4899&page=1#Item_12
It may seem a little Byzantine but I promice the resolution mechanics I'm going for will be very much in the background. I will give the final version to anyone who is interested (especially if they contribute to the discussion).
Thanks,
Scott
The link seems to be broken :(
You must be a member of the forum to use the link.
Huh. Typical.
RPGPundit
Sorry about that. If you just go to it's near the top.
Which name, please?
It's called "Need Help (New Game Design)" by Saint&Sinner
Hum... It seems the topic is invisible to non-registered. I've visionned the first 10 pages of topics, even using the "search" fonction of firefox. To no avail :(.
Are you using Logrus or Pattern to find it?
My bad! I forgot I had REAL searching power at my disposal ;)
Anyone have a suggestion where I could run a discussion like this so that everyone may participate (I'll need somewhere I can drop the file since I don't have time to email everyone). I would use this forum otherwise. ;)
Gotta say, not interested.
Diceless by Design is doing that, so I'll just wait for them...
Thanks though, may be why others are waiting too.
A while back there was a thread on rpg.net forums about hacking FATE and
PDQ to work together. Tword the end of the discussion an interesting
suggestion was made about a FATE/PDQ hybrid using only FATE invokes and
compels. I made an initial stab at this on the thread
http://forum.rpg.net/showpost.php?p=7431018&postcount=66 and have kept
working on it off and on over the last couple of months. Since Amber
is my favorite game/setting I've applied what I've been able to put
together to it.
If your interested check it out. http://johnpaul613.livejournal.com/
Oh, Good Stuff = Fate points for those familiar with FATE.
