This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

FYI: The Hackmaster 4E version is MUCH better. pdf version is out on the internet if you search for it.

Actually, it's not IMO, but it's perfectly fine.  At least Hackmaster gives you neurotic brass dragons named Frazier & Niles....

For this alone the Kenzer version is better.
1. I'm a married homeowner with a career and kids. I won life. You can't insult me.

2. I've been deployed to Iraq, so your tough guy act is boring.

It is amusing how much so many of you cry and crow about that single page. Which is a nothingburger. But then the fuckers over on RPGnet screeched about it being hateful and bigoted.

I've been running this. It's been great. You get to dabble into several types of fantasy all in one campaign if you run the full thing. More traditional medieval, then greco-roman, a bit of sinbad/odyssey style seafaring and island hopping, the arabic fantasy you would expect. And then you go inter-planar. If you want to start from a specific part, that works great too as it outlines reasons for the party to be pulled into the adventure if they aren't being driven by what happens in Chapter 1. And of course a well established gazetteer for the City of Brass itself, along with the massive plane stretching out from its gates which border the planes of fire/earth/air.

Just because you add the words "just because" doesn't make something inconsequential.

Who or what exactly are they "covering their ass" from with that statement?

Exactly.
Old School? Back in my day we just called it "School."

I just can't bring myself to care about a single page in a 422pg book. Just like I do not care about RPGNet's crying over the depiction of the Sultan's evils etc.

You are free to not care, just like those who do care are just as free to do so.  I, personally, can't bring myself to ignore the larger context of what is going on in western culture to give a pass to those people who are actively trying to tear down the foundations of it.  Of course, I have kids and grandkids, for whom I would like the same freedoms and culture to remain long after I'm gone, which is something that is usually not a priority (or even a likelihood) for many of the woke and the agnostics who can't be bothered to care...
