This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I recently gathered together a local group of players to meet (in-person) weekly and try a different RPG every month, meaning we get about 4 sessions to try out an RPG before switching to something else. I've grown bored of D&D, having played it on and off since 1979 and, though I have started an online PF2e game, I really wanted to explore other stuff. Not all of it will be fantasy, but we're starting there.

Anyway, our first RPG to play is Dragonbane, which we just started last week. I've written up my thoughts on my blog, with the intent to write up each RPG as we get to them. I'll likely also do a summary at the end of each month, since we're likely to discover things over the entire course of play that weren't immediately noticeable after the first week.
