This is where I review Mausfitter. A sword and whiskers game that uses the core mechanics from Into the Odd.

Thanks. The review is very detailed and interesting. This is one of the games I'm interested in recently.
I remember this when it was still in development.
What is the appeal of playing mice that are basically people?

Maybe it appeals to people that are basically living as mice?
Had a look at the system. Really like it for the idea, mechanics and cute-factor but found out the German version uses wokespeak ("Spieler:innen"). Same with the English version ("they" used in singular). Definitely a no-buy/pay. Would not have hesitated to pay for a non-woke box version. Will probably use the free pdf and rewrite it to normal language so it is usable.
The review is great btw, gives a good insight into how the systems plays and feels

Land of the giant.
Alien environment effectively.
Fans of Redwall or the Rescuers books, or even the Beatrix Potter stories.
David and Goliath sorts of challenges.
For fun.
Less worry some moral guardian fruitcake will start screeching your setting is wacist!!! (un-funfact. It wont. There were woke lunatics bitching about Maus, the book about the writer's surviving Nazi Germany.)
Lots of reasons.
my favorite ItO based game, bar none.
We bounced off Cairn (which is supposed to be similar).
I agree there's a disonance between the artsyle and presentation and the vibe of play.
the simplicity, inventory system etc. sounds like a great fisrt game for kids, but characters are less powerful (stats are 2d6) to reflect being small in a large world.
I pitch it as a game with blends "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" with "An American Tail" and heroic vibes in a gritty environment. The experince of the challenge in climbing ordinary appliances where the pplayers try to understand where the are, in which a cat is a horrifying monster, needing a warband to even being able to face it- is quite refreshing. also, all the adventurs are bsically sites and factions.
ther's evn a megudungeon for it, avilable for free.
Thanks for the review. I've always thought this game looked cute, I might have to pick it up.
I like the inventory system in this game. I love that "tactile" feeling where every item use a slot in your bag, hands, or sack.
I really liked the look of Mausritter, but I somehow can't find a place for it because I love Mouse Guard way more, probably because it is accompanied by the graphic novels which are gorgeous.
Yes, yes, "why not both" you might ask, but life is too short and you gotta cut some corners.
I've just got this game : so refreshing and fun. I'm gonna give it a try during christmas holidays with my nieces.
Now I am preparing to start mini-campaign on christmas holidays!
