Frightened by events and the power the world saw mutants held, an extremist faction launched an attack on the two leading faces of mutant groups in the world, Magneto's and Charles Xavier's 'schools'. The attacks came in the form of a series of bombings that
killed both leaders as well as nearly all the students. Many members of both factions were killed in the ensuing battles before those responsible for the attacks were captured. When all was said and done, only a
few remained from either side. Most of the survivors left to rebuild their lives in hopes of some peace.
In their absence, those who remained were forced to start a new.
The X-Men, now led by Storm, have built a new mansion in St. Clair City that is even better than the original. Soon afterward, they began recruiting students again and taught with the same ideals as before. Unfortunately or not, they were not the only ones: a new incarnation of the
Brotherhood, led by Magneto's son, Quicksilver, had also taken up residence in St. Clair City and built a mansion of their own. After so many deaths, both sides agreed on a truce for the time being. The schools have been running roughly six years now and are still taking in new students.
Outside St. Clair City, Kitty and Jubilee keep contact with the few surviving X-Men and work towards
peace between mutants and humans.
Horrified by the tragic deaths of so many young people, the Government has stepped in publicly denouncing mutant hate groups and trying to sooth the
panic caused by the bombings.
The two factions have stopped feuding for a short time as they build themselves back up, but soon they would have more enemies than just each other.
A new threat has appeared - The Crusader Knights. The name has religious connections, but little is truly know about the group. Mutants have turned up
missing because of them...
Many things are going on in the world:
The X-Men are training more than ever, and mutants have been showing up out of nowhere to join. The Crusader Knights launched an
attack and in the melee
two students were nearly killed. Now a small group of adult X-Men (Led by Wolverine) often leave to pursue the Knights and recruit help in what they sense is
a coming storm.
The Brotherhood hasn't been quite as popular as the X-Men, but the students that have been there for a while and the ones that have been joining are
stronger than ever with the most imaginative mutant powers. Still, not even the Brotherhood has been unscathed by the Knights, losing two of their own within weeks of each other to the Knights. The Brotherhood are out for blood now, but are still unwilling to join forces with the X-Men against this new enemy...
But how long can the two sides fight their battles alone?
The Crusader Knights are growing and have been taking and/or
killing more mutants than ever. Their exploits have made the news and rumors of the group are not uncommon as authorities scramble to catch the
criminals... It is even rumored that the government has sent agents to infiltrate the group.
It is a mass struggle and everyone wants to know who will rise to the top?
Who will gain the power?
- You decide!
This is an advertisement for a free-form play-by-posts storytelling game as far as I understand. This is moved to the play-by-posts section.
Quote from: Dodger;540988Fixed that for you! :)
Nah, I'm cool with people recruiting for their games, whether it's freeform, using a particular game or not, etc. It's just that it's not for the general Role playing games forum, nor is it a "news item" per se.
Sorry about the confusion. I guess I put it in the wrong spot...
It's cool, no problem about that. Have you started playing your game already? How many people are involved?
