Title: Recruiting: Science City
Post by: katefan on April 21, 2025, 01:08:12 AM
Have you ever wanted to role play in a super hero universe but never found one that suited? Then perhaps Science City is for you. Taking place in 2034 in what was formerly Detroit, Science City tells the tale of the Vanguard, this metropolis' team of heroes and their attempts to protect their unique town from its unusual threats and dangers, from rampaging dinosaurs or goblin armies flowing out of the dimensional rifts that plague the metropolis, to old school super villains clutching at a last chance for power and glory, to supernatural beings that stalk the shadows and alien threats descending from the stars.

Science City draws inspiration from many sources, from old school DC and Marvel Comics to anime and more, we hope to capture the feel of classic comics in a futuristic sci-fi setting. We are currently wrapping up an epic story line and this is a good time to join; get to know the players, get a feel for the game and discuss with the GM (that's me) potential character ideas. The Discord server has a lot of background information for you to dive into, that's because Science City is part of a decades spanning series of super heroic role playing games that the GM (again, that's me) have been running since '00. Questions? It's best if you contact me privately at tstockel@rocketmail.com if you don't want to join the Discord server quite yet.

Huh, I played in a Science City game at Monkey Con many years ago.  Ring a bell or just a case of parallel evolution?
