This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I don't see the big deal, really.  Once they're lowered about 30'-50' down the 500' shaft, then Rissthil will be able to use his infravision on the way down since he'll be out of the ambit light from the The Gold Ladder.  Once we reach the bottom, we'll be near the lantern and able to see within its light source.

A serious look crosses Rissthil's face as he looks at Runch and says, "indeed, trolls are nothing to sneeze at.  Perhaps we should light a torch once we reach the bottom."

Tudd sits on the edge of the hole with his feet dangling over, looking forlorn as he awaits his turn to descend.

Rissthil and Runch are going down the well at this point. Apart from a few bumps as the basket progresses, everything goes well for them.
___

Cadfan comes closer to the well. He asks to those of you still up in the main room: "I shall work on that replacement platform with the kegs. Is there anything else you'd need us to do while you are away? Maybe preparing supplies? Something else?"

Grumbling about seat of the pants expedition I reply..."Torches are good, having a bit o' oil would be best. How'z yer supply of flamibles?"

Dude, go to the Underground thread, now. You've arrived. :)

winkingbishop

Othos stares down the pit impatiently as he waits for the basket to arrive.

Basket arrives.

winkingbishop

With some difficulty, Othos heaves his girth into the contraption and waits for his companion.

Assuming Ulas follows, you are now going down. Nothing particular happens during your descent (Ulas rolled d% and got a 45). Arrival pending.

"I've got an empty wallet. That counts, right?"

Ulas pulls on his hood and climbs into the buoy when it arrives.

Ulas and Othos, you're up. See the Underground thread (you're both in the basket coming down from the ceiling!).

Sigmund

Tudd smiles as he spots the beetle he was peering at a few minutes earlier crawling along the edge of the pit. Poking at it with his finger, he grins, then frowns as the creature clings to his index finger. He moves his hand over to his shield and allows the beetle to climb on to it's edge. He then begings humming a hymm from the Charlathanite church Runch taught him as he watches the rope attached to the basket descend.

The rope actually stopped its movement. Tudd hears a shout coming from down below, and a loud, guttural growl. He sees some light. Something's happening!
