This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Benoist;446620You walk to the yellow lantern. From there, you can see the giant roofed urn in front of you, right in the way of the corridor leading to the armory and storage room to the NE.

Just above this structure, you see the yellow lantern hanging from the ceiling by a chain:

Just behind the urn and lantern, you see a pile of debris, wood beams, boulders piled up from the northern to the southern wall of the opening. The trough to your left (NE of the room, just under the animated fresco) has been shattered, somehow, while the other three around the room are intact.

Would you like to inspect a feature, urn, lantern, clutter, trough, something else, in particular?

I'll start looking at the lantern, no poking, while my mates catch up.

The octogonal lantern sheds its bright yellow light around you. It is not flickering as normal fires or candles would. The manufacture is delicate, and points to an expert craftsmanship whose blend of styles and influences remains unknown to the giant-killer. It is made of the same ancient gray metal as the urn's.

DM: The rubble actually is actually piled up in such a manner as to make contact with the corridor's ceiling above it. Some pieces of rubble would need to be cleared from the top of the pile first before attempting to squeeze through to the other side. It is not impossible, however.

DM: Judging by the way you interacted with the wall around the painting, how Rissthil was able to pick up a beam to poke at the painting, and similar actions, it looks like you can.

Imperator

"Let's strt picing up rocks, then." Gaeth will clomb as far as he can and start to carefully remove rocks from the top.

Gareth climbs up the pile of rubble by the red lantern. It is quite unsteady.

DM: Roll 1d100, Gareth.

You trip and fall backwards. You tumble down the pile of rubble, crash into Smeads, and finally hit your head on the pedestal supporting the large urn under the red lantern.

DM: Smeads and Gareth, click on this link.

Benoist

"There, there now, you're going to be alright!"

Gareth opens his eyes. He is sitting, his back against the urn of the red lantern. Maulbert the hobbit is standing by his side. He seems concerned. "Are you alright?"

Smeads is nowhere to be seen.

Shit. "Where is Smeads? Tell me Maulbert, where is he gone?"

"Well of course," the hobbit turns around, and jumps. "But... but he was right there just a moment ago, when you fell from there!"

"I don't understand!"

Rissthil was at the bottom of the rock pile and had just started picking up his first rock when Gareth came tumbling down and crashed onto the urn.  Dropping the rock in his hands, Rissthil rushes to Gareth's aid as well.  Rissthil turns too to look for Smeads who had been right there a second ago, but his now vanished into thin air.

"By the Gods!" Rissthil exclaims when he realizes that Smeads has mysteriously vanished from their presence, "what is going on here!"

He turns to look back at Gareth, and he asks him with a concerned look and tone, "are you alright, mate?"

"I am all right, but this situation is really starting to make me angry. I don't know where Smead has gone, maybe he's back in our world with our companions. Anyway, I think we should keep digging here, as it seems to have produced some result." With this, Gareth resumes taking away stones, carefully and looking oout for any danger.
