This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sky that thing loves you

Yes... yes it does... That, and your mods don't suck Equus asinus phallus. Or rather... your interaction mods don't.
When people like to argue, I just remember what Crona said:
I bet dead people are easier to get along with.

'I think you mortals need a nice long sleep.'

Whither shall I Wander?

The guard chuckled lightly. "Aye... Exhaustion can do things to you . Ah, this is the chief's hut. I imagine he'll want to talk to you about your.... Interests in our village. One moment." The wolf man knocked on the door softly. An almost inaudible noise seemed to be the sign for him to enter. A few moments pass, and he reemerges from the hut. "Alpha will see you now. Please keep it down. Young Teki has just settled down for a nap and Alpha is rather reluctant for him to wake up right now." he holds the door open for you to enter...

'Your Alpha is very generous to help us, sir warrior.'
I enter the hut very cautiously.
Whither shall I Wander?

"Many thanks for your generosity and helpfulness. It bodes well of your tribe, your Alpha, your Elders, and your people as a whole. And, again, little Elony, I am so sorry about the strange strawman..." I smile before quietly entering the hut.

Vex nods at the Captain, then enters.

Spoiler
As you enter the hut, you are struck immediately by a sense of something being both right, and wrong. Across from the door, in the center of the hut, is the fire pit. A low glow of embers is visible, though the hut proper is lit by light coming in from the pit's opening in the roof and various windows. Directly opposite of you, sitting on a slightly raised mat, is the Alpha of the Elundari tribe. He is remarkably young compared to the others you've seen around the village - at most, he might be pushing thirty. Long, ebony hair is pulled back into a tail which hangs midway down his back. He wears a simple leather vest and trousers. A single scar runs down his chest diagonally, crossing right over his heart. Eyes the color of autumn grass flick up towards you as you enter, before returning to the object of their greater interest. The Alpha is sitting slightly hunched over, gently stroking the equally dark, albeit slightly shorter, hair of a little boy, curled up in his lap, snoozing softly, his small torso swelling and collapsing in the gentle tempo of death's younger brother.

After a few moments of silence, the Alpha looks up at your party and speaks softly, "Welcome, travelers. Please, make yourselves comfortable. One of the womenfolk will be by shortly with meat and drink."

As you settle in the hut, you begin to look around. There are several shelves filled with various earthware jars of herbs and roots, as well as several odd stones and gems of some value, though the way they are strewn about suggest little concern about their worth. A particularly dangerous looking spear is resting against one shelf, along with a powerful bow and a quiver of deadly arrows, though that seems to be the only part of the hut remotely organized. In all reality... the place looks more like a bachelor's pad than the hut of what would equate to a village chief.

I smile softly and nod towards the sleeping child. "I take it there's been some issue with him sleeping? I find a cup of warm milk makes even the most resilient sleep-resister drowsy." Cautiously, I cast a general galnce around the hut, searching for anything out of the ordinary.

Spoiler
"G-ggwow?" a soft, whimpering growl breaks the silence in the hut as the small bundle in the Alpha's lap squirmed before sitting up and sleepily rubbing his bleary eyes. The left eye shines like the sun, molten gold in color. The other shimmers like the moon, burnished silver in color. Slowly, he settles his eyes onto your party before sniffling softly and violently clinging to the Alpha. "O-oke! Nana oke! Hakiti li nan oke!" the boy whimpers into the Alpha's chest. Softly, the Alpha strokes the child's hair and whispers soft words of reassurance to him. Once the boy settles down, the Alpha nuzzles his hair softly and returns his attention to you.

"My pup has had nightmares for days now. Most of the time, he can't remember them, but a few of the times, he wakes up crying like this."

A few mumbled words escape the child, and the Alpha smiles and mumbles something back. "He seems to think that you are all bad people who are going to take him away, like in his dream. Not likely, considering you're here for an entirely different reason. I take it you're the 'or else' that Diaza mentioned in his last... negotiation?"

"Aw..." I coo softly, "Who's a shweepy puppy, huh?" Turning to the Alpha, I nod politely. "He really is adorable. But, if I might ask... what exactly does his dreams entail? Because, I've been hearing whispers since I've arrived, and I believe my beast friend here has too, though of two entirely different natures. For instances," I chuckle lightly, "And, you're going to just laugh at this when you hear it," I chuckle a little louder and shake my head, "But, when I was just casually looking at you, I heard a voice shouting 'Spill the blood of the innocent' or something of that nature. Isn't that just... strange?" I stop laughing. "What's going on here? Perhaps we could help you, if you'd let us... lettuce... vegetable... green... trees... sap... amber...orange... sun... hey, your kid has two different colored eyes! What's up with that?" I squeak out suddenly, pointing at the boy.

Sano Arcanos

Sky, do a perception check, modified with your arcana score, por favor. In other words... role perception, but use your arcana mod, not your perception mod... if that makes any sense. Just do it... I suppose the short way of saying that would be to make an arcana check, huh... eh, I like my way better...
