This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Vex is awake and following the group

Spoiler
having just barely managed to tuck myself back in - not an easy feat, considering I'm wearing robes and... Other, bigger issues ;)... I snicker impishly and allow myself to be propelled forward.

Spoiler
You break out of the forest and back onto the road. Several dozen yards ahead, you find what could be the origin of the mysterious music. A little girl is sitting on a large rock on the side of the road, strumming a lute careful and humming a tune, trying to make the two tones match.

As a child, she's not particularly remarkable - average height and size, typical youthful face, your ordinary tail and wolf ears, commonplace clothes, a random pile of childhood treasures like "cool" rocks and toys next to her... wait... tail?
When people like to argue, I just remember what Crona said:
I bet dead people are easier to get along with.

Spoiler
Falchion proceeds directly past the girl, having no immediate desire to speak to her or any reason to do so.

Shinynicoli

Spoiler
'Greetings, child. Such lovely music you play. What brings you to such a lonely rock?'
Whither shall I Wander?

Sky Clouden

Spoiler
Staring momentarily at the rather rude metal man (can he really be considered a man if he just walks by a little girl all alone on an abandoned road?), I approach the girl playing her song and smile.

"Morning, fair maiden! What beautiful music you have in your soul! Was it you whom I just so recently played a thrilling duet with?" I ask politely. As a last thought, I add "And, might I just say, your tail is absolutely beautiful."

Mishafox113

Spoiler
Vex hangs back and watches the girl carefully.

Spoiler
Falchion keeps one trudging along. As he does, he yells back at the group.

"I wonder, did I miss the part where our mission was to talk to a random child in the woods. For all you know she is some foul demon like a succubus child or a kitsune, here to steal your souls."
Lowering his voice, Falchion remarks, "Good thing I am lacking in that department."

Perception check Falchion's surroundings

Spoiler
The girl pauses in her deliberate strumming to attend to the travelers in front of her. "O-oh... hello!" she stutters in shock, as if you'd just materialized from the air - which, as engrossed in her playing as she was, was probably what seemed to have happened from her perspective. "I was just... ah... what are you doing here?" she asked suddenly, a guarded expression on her face.

Shinynicoli

Spoiler
'Come now, Sir Steel, no need to be quite so.......unfeeling. Child, we're simply traveling. We heard your music and followed it to this area. The Young One here played the beautiful woodwind. I'm a harpist myself.'

Arcana check on the girl.

Whither shall I Wander?

Spoiler
"It has nothing to do with feeling, Jack, it is unnecessary, and it is wasting our precious time. The girl is here. She knows how she got here. She is not crying, nor is she asking for aid. Thus, let us depart!"

Falchion has not turned around during any of his dialogue. He proceeds to take a few more steps forward.

Mishafox113

Spoiler
Vex calls out to Falchion, "Stay yaself a moment Falchion, this girl seems to be of a tribe. Maybe of th' Elundari. " She walks closer to Falchion and whispers, "She could be an easy and less blood filled way of gettin' into the temple and grabbin that stone.

liam134

Spoiler
Falchion makes eye contact with Vex. He nods slightly.

"Very well. But lets be quick about this. I have no desire to stand here all day"

Mishafox113

Spoiler
Vex grins slightly, "Right ya are sir. " She walks closer to the girl careful to make herself seem less intimidating by slouching and showing she had no weapons in her hands.  Stopping in front of her Vex says,"Hello young one. Ah'm Vex. We're a bunch of adventures lookin' for a place to rest. We've been wanderin' 'bout for a day or so. Might you know of a fair place away from that dreadful city? "

Spoiler
"Mmm...hmmm..." she murmurs almost to herself as she glances off to the side. "Well, I'm not sure why you'd be going down this road... but aren't you the strangest group of travelers? A talking scarecrow, a towering wolf... person... thing... a machine with an attitude, and... a rather talented musician... personally, I think you're up to something. Wanna know a secret?" She leans in close to the Scarecrow and Mithanos and whispers in their ears.

Her whispered words are in your inbox.
