Other than the scar, his face is rather non-descript, with plain structure and a lack of notable features.

I drop my hastily gathered gear and whip my scimitar from its sheath...going into a wild eyed crouch...(gods guide me from this dark wood)
Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

Profession probably wouldn't be clear under the circumstances, nationality can be pretty reasonably be presumed to be Moragnian.

Pseudoephedrine

The sound of the chanting is fading as the Alric flees from the copse of trees, trailing bracken behind him. In its place, a cold wind, more appropriate to the depths of winter than your spring night is starting to pick up and roll down the mountainside. The little fire you've got lit is guttering, but what light does come from it shows only the man and yourselves and the path and the trees around you.

Pseudoephedrine

The wind's force rises quickly. Pine needles, sodden leaves, small branches and other bits of the forest are whipping down the side of the mountain at high speeds. Overhead, trees are bending and branches breaking. One of the clouds overhead unblocks moon as the wind blows it off, and a ray of white moonlight illuminates the grove's exterior.

You can see something that looks like a strip of white cloth glowing from the pale light. It flutters just out of sight, attached to something deeper in the copse that's still hidden.
