This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Norel attempts to shield parry (50%) Borvr's attack and fails with a roll of 62%.

Amra lets fly with a great shot! (base 59% rolled 29) targeting Borvr as he closes on Norel.

for 3 dam. if applicable

Amra reaches for another arrow...

Engeram holds his shield fast as the axe squarely lodges into its center.

1d100=17 Dodge Skill 49%

As the axe hits, he covers with the shield and smashes into the front of their diamond, trying to shove their leader back behind the spell casters, ending up in Gelf's lap.

1d100=39 Athletics and Close Combat Skills are 60%

Edit - I had cast magnitude 2 Strength on myself, so my Athletics for shoving people is actually 80%.

I want to try to make it easy for the rest of the group to isolate one of the spell casters, and it would be nice to delay Gelf's axe throwing, make him do something else (like attack me).

Llum

Sighard runs forward to attack Stumvr. He swings a quick blow at the casting Geornling.

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2700254/ 58% skill and I rolled a 67.

Pseudoephedrine

Borvr goes stumbling back into Gelf as Engeram rams into him. Gelf braces himself and prevents Borvr from pitching completely over.

Ok, so Sighard and Engeram are acting first here. That means that at the end of their turn, they're mixed up with Stumvr and Borvr, respectively.

Amra, that's going to interfere with your shot on Borvr, unfortunately. It's a -25% for shooting into melee. Does your shot still hit with that modifier?

Borvr is going to try to attack Engeram:

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2702468/

That's a success. Did you have a dodge or parry left?

Jhan, what's your action this turn?

[/B]

YES,Still a hit with the -25%! sadly only 3 dam.(I do not add dam. mod. to the bow correct?)

Amra is loading up another shaft as he positions for a cleaner shot on the foes in back that appear to be casting spells and the axe-thrower...looking for a target of opportunity.

Engeram already parried a throwing axe, then charged into the fray. He's all out of reactions for the round.

Befuddle on Gunnar at 33% (1d100=65)

Jjhan muttered a few syllables under his breath and made a complex looking gesture with his left hand, ending with a flicking motion towards one of their assailants.
Nothing seemed to happen though, except a string of curses from Jhan.

Pseudoephedrine

Borvr braces himself with the spear as Engeram shoves him back, shortening his grip and scraping the point of his spear across Engeram's chest. He bellows in success as he feels the tip catch and tear.

He manages to shove you back, Engeram, just enough that you can feel the wind of Amra's passing arrow as it scrapes Borvr's shoulder. His armour, thick hides and furs, takes the worst of the shot.

He bellows a second time, steps back, and launches his spear out past you, Engeram, at Norrel as he comes in for an attack.

Damage on Engeram: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2704635/
Attack on Norrel: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2704647/

Uh oh! That's a critical! 6 damage, and armour doesn't count. Poor Norrel!

Just to be clear, Borvr's original intention was to attack Norrel, but when Engeram came in with the shove, he changed it to an all out attack with one directed at Norrel and one at Engeram. That's why he didn't dodge the shove. Both attacks hit even with the -25% penalty for the all out attack.

It's payback time, sir dwarf. Your action?

Feels like I've caught a bug of some sort, so I may be out of action for a few days. Feel free to NPC Jhan if I don't turn up in a timely manner. He'll switch from useless magic to weapons, but will only attack if
a,He is attacked himself,
or
b,  A friend needs help
or,
c, The boy is threatened.

He'll throw a dagger then close with sword if there's time, just sword if not.

Norel attacks Borvr with his ball & chain (50%) and misses badly with a roll of 95%.

Bryce's casting roll: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2699096/
Miscast, unfortunately!

Argh!

I assume that Bryce had an opportunity to fire his crossbow at some point following this failure?

Not that it matters.  He misses (roll of 73).

Grimacing from the shot from Borvr just dealt, he lowers his center by bending at the knees, preparing to lunge under the spear and go for his throat. Engeram's eyes flash for a moment to Gelf, waiting to see what he will do.

Pseudoephedrine

Stumvr and Gunnar hold aloft their blades in unison. Their chant rises to a shout as they invoke the blessing of the ancestors and gods on their blades.

Stumvr on the right brings his blade around low and to the side, ready to chop out at any who close on his side. Gunnar on the left swings his blade to the "plough" position, hilt above his head with the tip facing down, ready to stab over and across his shield. Both still hold their position in the diamond, protecting Borvr and Gelf. They shout encouragement and advice to one another in Georn as they ready to advance.

Top of the round is Bryce again, if memory serves. The crossbow shot would go off now, I think, since the spell was your action last round, was it not?
