This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Kord's Boon

Sounds good to me as well, Sander follows as would be appropriate.

So who's the lucky tough guy to open it? I can stand behind him, if you want me to. :D

Venosha

I know PbP are hard sometimes to keep up with, but is everyone still playing?
1,150 things Mr. Welch can no longer do during an RPG

390. My character\'s background must be more indepth than a montage of Queen lyrics.

629. Just because they are all into rock, metal and axes, dwarves are not all headbangers.

702. The Banana of Disarming is not a real magic item.

1059. Even if the villain is Lawful Evil, slapping a cease and desist order on him isn't going to work

Benoist

I'm here. What do you guys want to do now?

Venosha

(Benoist) : I am game for whatever you guys want to do.  I was just hoping to see a few more post on our next move.  I say we ransack the castle...and take it's treasure!

Okay guys. Gotta go on a road trip for the next two days. If something happens, assume Kagan heals whoever needs healing, and if nobody's hurt but combat breaks out, he tries to backstab a target.

I'll be back shortly!

Richard Coeur de Lion, heh? :)

Did you know I was born in Normandy?

Well, I knew you were of French ancestry, and spoke it with some degree of fluency.  The module has the Anglo translations for all the names and such, but the French versions add a bit of the exotic to set the mood properly.

The module itself has some basis on the Averoigne stories by Clark Ashton Smith, which I have not had the opportunity to read, but the francophile influence is apparent:
The Beast of Averoigne

I knew about CAS' Averoigne correlation, and want to read the stories, in part to determine whether it reflects some elements about medieval France that ring true to my imagination, and thus whether I could use it as a full-fledged D&D setting or not.

I haven't had a chance to do so, yet. A pity, really. But I will. :)
