This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Initiative will be (d10-Reaction Adjustment) until this gets unwieldy, which it shouldn't with the online dice roller.
 Example:
18 Dex, +3 Reaction Adjustment, long sword (weapon speed 5)
Initiative Example (1d10-3=-2)
 1d10-3 → [1,-3] = (-2)
Negative numbers means an attack prior to the round.  If you get multiple attacks, the next attack will be (Weapon Speed) segments later. So, in this example, the long sword attack would come before everyone else attacks, then again on segment 3.
Bows and  thrown daggers go on their initiative, then 2 segments later.  Darts go on their initiative, then the next two consecutive segments.  Other missile weapons are single rate of fire, so they go once on their initiative.

No Dex modifier; 10 stat. What's the reaction adjustment on throwing a molotov cocktail...But before that, how harsh are you on spreading fire?
The main problem with government is the difficulty of pressing charges against its directors.

Given a choice of two out of three M&Ms, the human brain subconsciously tries to justify the two M&Ms chosen as being superior to the M&M not chosen.

Well, you are in the middle of a dense forest with rather thick underbrush.

I hope you give some kind of warning....my character is quite a distance from the group in the brush.

18 Dex, +3 reaction adjustment, attacking with sling stone (RoF 1).
(1d10-3=3)
1d10-3 → [6,-3] = (3)

How dry/wet it is has a lot more effect. Also, twisting paper into a tight roll and lighting it on fire tends to produce a rather unexpected result - Namely, the fire goes out.

Fire, like all chemical reactions, has a threshold.

I am assuming that we should wait until everyone has rolled initiative before posting our actions, right?

Yeah, I was going to give it until this afternoon-ish, MST, then go ahead with the lineup so far.

Still don't know what sort of reaction bonus a molotov cocktail has.

Standard Dex adjustment, fire rate of 1, so you will be able to throw it on your standard initiative.

I have been toying around with Epic Words a bit, let me know what you think.  If anyone wants to, sign up and enter your character, then let me know so I can add you to the campaign I have set up.

hehe...I came across this site while surfing and thought it was a cool idea.  It looks like they've done some re-tooling since I last visited.  The appearance is different, it used to be all brown.

I'm down with it.
