This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

As the door swings open, you can see a room paneled in polished mahogany. A large fireplace faced with marble is set in the south wall. Whatever furniture was once in this room has been removed, except for an ironbound wooden chest in the southeastern corner. Lying around the fireplace are a dozen or so bedrolls. Near the bedrolls are a dozen humanoids with cat-like faces dressed in leather armor.

Several of them appear to be playing some kind of gambling game with cards, two are lounging near the fire reading, and four of them are standing one to a corner near the bookshelves.  They all turn to look as the door opens into the room.  The guard in the southeast corner appears to be challenging you in a meowling language, punctuated by hisses and a yowl.

"Close the door!"  Thraim yells to Semina at the door.

Venosha

Semina practically jumps out of her skin from Thraim's yelling.  She quickly  grabs for the door knob and begins to close the door.  "Snori," she looks to the dwarf with a crazed look in her eyes, knowing that she'll be their first target.

1059. Even if the villain is Lawful Evil, slapping a cease and desist order on him isn't going to work

Sigmund

Snorri leaps into the doorway, shield at the ready, hammer raised to fling.

Waiting to see if we need init rolls, Snorri will be ready but will not attack until further notice unless attacked himself.

Roll for initiative to see if Semina can close the door fast enough

OOC:  I rolled a '4' for initiative.  Invisible Castle is down currently.

Looks like Invisible Castle is back online:

Oooof.  Looks like homework and getting the latest issue online have distracted me again.  Sorry.

Looks like Semina and Kagan tied with the cat-dude, but they need to get across the room anyway, so you should be able to get the door closed.  Unfortunately, the door opened inward, so Semina will need to roll under Dex on a d20 in order to close the door and engage the catch.

Venosha

Semina scrambles quickly to close the door.  She watches the cat figure snarl as she does her best to prevent their entry.

OOC: Rolling for latching door. (1d20=11)

OOC: Do you succeed under DEX with your 11, Ven?

Venosha

OOC:  Sorry...had to find my character sheet.  My DEX is 15.  Looks like the door latch is secure.

OOC: It's alright. I was asking to plot my next course of action. :)

Kagan flattens his back against the wall aside from the door's frame. If anyone forces his way through the door with hostile behavior, raised weapons and such, he will backstab the guy walking through the frame.
