This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Semina finishes pouring the last of the tea into the other cups, and sets the pot back on the table.  She looks at the ogre curiously and cautiously as her manners vary with every second she speaks.  Semina makes sure the table is between them, incase the beast rises to full potential.

"My lady," Semina tries to refocus Janet's attention.  "Where would we be able to find your brother Stephen as well?"

Quote from: Benoist;318049"How did these wicked servants of yours leave the place?"
"It's hard to tell, it has been so long." she sighs, "some left before the fog shrouded the castle, some went to find Jean-Louis, some tried to find a way out of this accursed place.  None were ever heard from again, of course.  I don't know if any of them would have the presence of mind to take my things with them, or if they would have abandoned all their worldly goods in their quarters in their panicked state..." she trails off again, but you are not sure if she is thinking about the servants, or struggling against the rising savage tendencies.

She ponders the thought for a moment, then turns to address Semina.  "He was rarely in this part of the castle, preferring the chapel or the East Wing.  The few times I have seen him here, he was conferring with Richard Cœur de Lion."  She giggles for a moment, "When he isn't around, though, I like to call him 'Richard Tête de Lion'.  He would be furious with me if he heard."  she looks down at her hands folded in her lap, smiles shyly and blushes; somewhat disconcerting on her current visage.

After a moment, her smile disappears and she appears to be squinting at her hands in deep concentration.

"Would you like us to leave you?"  Thraim says gently, "would you like us to look for the items these servants took?  What were they and what did they look like?"

StormBringer

"Oh, that is so terribly kind of you, Sir Dwarf!" her face shines, " All I would need is the spellbook they had taken, and the pouch of components for this particular spell.  I would be certain that some commoner trying to sell such a thing would be arrested on the spot, so I can't imagine it has left the grounds.  If they didn't hide it in their quarters, they may have tried to put it in the library to cover their villainy.  I have not been in there for so long, as I feared destroying whatever books may have been useful with my clumsiness"

She gazes upon you all with a look of hopefulness that you can only assume hasn't been present for a very long time.

"M'Lady, your kindness has brought dawn to despair," Thraim says, "I will seek the items you need as we search for an exit."

Venosha

"What direction shall we head first," Semina speaks to no one in particular.  "Let us make haste so she loses no more of herself, or us as well."  Semina straightens herself up, and looks at Thraim for direction.

As they exit the room with ogress Amber, Thraim points at the door opposite them about twenty feet up the grand hallway to the east.

Snorri takes up a position next to the door, but allowing him the ability to keep an eye on the hallway.

Man, getting a monthly magazine put together is hectic!  :)  Sorry about the delay!

Janet is staying behind in her room, as she is fearful of running into the other members of the D'Amberville family.  She is unable to defend herself magically in her current state.

So, if everyone is ready, let's get this moving again!  It seems that recent responses have been in the manner of what people want to do or are planning on doing; let's get that active voice going and adventure boldly!

Semina glides up to the door, and looks at Snorri.  "How about I push it open gently and you take a peak?" she smiles at the dwarf.  She brings out her hand axe and begins to push on the door slowly.

Kagan stands ready near the door frame, as before, to be able to reach (heal) anybody opening the door and behind, if necessary, or stab whoever would force his or her way from the side... ;)

Thraim stands ready in the grand hallway with a bolt loaded in his crossbow.  He is watching the room and hallway from the rear of the group.

Everyone is back at the short hallway leading to the servant's quarters, then?

OOC: If you're looking on the map on page 78 of this thread, we are at the door on the south wall that is 20-feet to the east of the red dot in the middle of the hallway.  As I understand it, the ogress room is the door directly north of the red dot on the northern wall.  So, we came back in the hallway and walked across it to the next door to the east on the south side.
