This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Drohem

This can't be right, Thraim thinks to himself, what in the Nine Hells cast a Light spell on Semina then?

Just to make sure that this is just a linen closet, Thraim gently taps on all the walls at random locations to determine if there isn't a hidden passage or hollow area behind a facade of a closet.

StormBringer

You are attacked by a DIRE TOWEL!!  :)

The walls and floors are solid, no matter where you tap them.   The shelves are attached firmly to the walls, and there appear to be no catches or levers to release.

The bedclothes are made of the finest linen, pure white, folded neatly, and spotlessly clean.  The towels are naturally coloured, rough spun cotton, and the soaps each have a pleasant fragrance to them.  Near the back, the last stack of towels on the bottom shelf has a deep red member second from the bottom, and in the middle of the floor, there is one towel crumpled into a pile that is absolutely filthy with grime and dirt.

With a perplexed look on his face, Thraim turns to his companions and shrugs his shoulders as he says, "it's a linen closet."

Benoist

Kagan keeps a perplexed look on his face. He draws his sword in slow motion, more out of a puzzled reflex than any conscious thought on his part.

He steps in the room, looks at the ceiling.

Assuming he doesn't see anything, he gently pokes the towels one by one with his blade.

Venosha

Semina leans to her left to look inside the door.  She raises her eyebrows at Thraims comments and looks about.  "What's that in the middle of the floor?  Looks out of place."

The towels Kagan shifts around don't appear unusual in any way.  Looking closer, he can see there is no dust on the shelves around the towels, and the towels and bedclothes appear quite new, and to have been freshly washed.

"Indeed it does," Thraim says in response to Semina's question, "it appears to be a recently used towel.  Also, the red towel seems out of place."

Benoist

Does the dirty towel on the floor appear wet?

There are parts that appear stained or damp, it's hard to tell which in the low lighting.

Kord's Boon

"This is just ridiculous" Sander states quietly, "can't believe I was jumpy over bunch of towels"

Noting the interest in the discarded rag Sander enters the room, and tries to  the lift the towel by catching a thread or fold with the head of his mace, then displaying it for the rest of the party to see.

Sigmund

Snorri takes up a position that allows him to watch back the way we came while still able to see into the room and keep an eye out behind us.

"That might very well be Sander," Thraim says casually, "but who knows with this wacky place.  Let's move on down the grand hallway, shall we?"

Benoist

Kagan lift a finger up, waiting to see if there is any delayed movement, noise or anything triggered by Sander picking up the rag. As nothing seems to happen (?), he nods to Thraim to lead on.

Venosha

Semina keeps a look out with Snori as her companions finish their investigation.  "Nothing out of place with the red towel as well?" she remarks as the others comment about heading back down the grand hallway.

OOC: Was Sander just picking up the dirty one on the floor?  Didn't really notice if anyone looked over the red one, so I thought I would mention it....probably nothing as well.

So, you are going to leave the filthy rag on the floor where you found it?
