This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

"How about checking this door here?" Kagan asks as he walks to the closest door to them (directly to the north).

OOC - What about the two rooms on either side of the spiders? Have these been searched already?

StormBringer

Was that OOC question for me, or were you asking the rest of the party?

OOC question is for everyone and anyone who cares to answer! :D

Semina listens as the party decides where to start their adventure once more.  "May I suggest shielding ones self," she points to her eyes, "if we cross in front of the second door again."  Semina glances towards the north door.  "Can spells linger, or continue to hover about."

OOC: I am responding to the possiblity of opening the 3rd door.

390. My character\'s background must be more indepth than a montage of Queen lyrics.

629. Just because they are all into rock, metal and axes, dwarves are not all headbangers.

702. The Banana of Disarming is not a real magic item.

1059. Even if the villain is Lawful Evil, slapping a cease and desist order on him isn't going to work

Drohem

Thraim unconsciously grooms his beard with his fingers as he muses out loud, "well, it might have been a magical trap of sorts.  I suspect this whole place is filled with magical traps of all sorts given the kooky nature of our captors.  Perhaps I should go first and check for any traps.  Cover me, I don't want my behind hanging in the breeze."

Thraim will go up to the third door on the right of the small northern wing, and get his tools of the trade out of his backpack.  He'll check it for traps.

================================================

(OOC:  Thraim's Find Traps roll = 75%.  His chance is 56%.)

StormBringer

There doesn't appear to be any traps on the door or the latch mechanism that you can find.

Thraim tries to put away his thieves' tools as quietly as possible.  Once they are securely away, he gently puts his loaded crossbow on the ground next to him.

He turns around facing his companions and puts his finger to his lips in the 'shh' gesture.  He then turns and places his ear up against the door and tries to listen for any sounds inside the room.

========================================

(OOC:  Thraim's Hear Noise check = 48%, and his chance is 22%)

Benoist

Kagan stands behind Thraim just in case he needs some sudden healing.

Sigmund

Snorri watches the back trail, ready to deal with attack from behind while Thraim works.

Semina watches Thraim place his ear against the door.  She stands quietly near the wall with her bow locked and loaded awaiting intruders from any direction.

You hear a faint nibbling of cheese.

:)

Just kidding, it's quiet behind the door.

Thraim picks up his crossbow, stands up, and opens the door with his off hand.

StormBringer

The door opens into a dimly lit, narrow passage.  As your eyes adjust, you realize it is a closet filled with shelves of fresh linen, bath towels, soap and other household items.
