This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sigmund

"I don't like this one bit", growls Snorri, "if this stuff is like what can be found in underground caverns, it eats through metal and flesh, and is dangerous. I like treasure as much as the next dwarf, but I'm not sure anything in that box is worth the risk. If the group decides it's worth it though, I'm with ya."

Drohem

Thraim chuckles and says, "three... two... one!"

After the count of 'one,' Thraim throws his flask of oil at the ceiling, near the center point of the room.

"Treasure means nothing to me, but life does," Semina cautions the others. Before she can finish her warning, Semina glances in Thraim's direction as he tosses his oil flask into the room.

"Guess there's no turning back now," Semina remarks to Snorri.  She throws the pint of oil as hard as she can towards the stone chest so that the oil is not absorbed completely by the glob.

"Fire is all that is left," she begins to move away from the door towards Heathcliffe.

Semina needs to roll against AC4 to hit the chest
Thraim needs to roll against AC5 to hit the ceiling where he wants

After hits are determined, I will roll to see if the flasks break.  Since you are targeting two different locations, you will need two torches to light them both.

Thraim lobs the flask of oil at the ceiling and hits it right in the middle, where the containter shatters and spreads about half the oil on the black gunk.  The other half rains down somwhat past the center of the room on the green muck.  Semina's throw comes up about three feet short of the chest, but shatters upon impact and spreads the oil in a pattern encompassing the floor in front of the chest, as well as the front of the platform on which the chest sits.

Snorri watches carefully to try to catch any sign of movement from the room, shield held in front of himself.

Naren tosses a torch (Or two?) Do I roll something?
The main problem with government is the difficulty of pressing charges against its directors.

Given a choice of two out of three M&Ms, the human brain subconsciously tries to justify the two M&Ms chosen as being superior to the M&M not chosen.

All you will need to do is get the torches in the oil pools, so roll to hit AC9

Both torches find their mark, and the oil flares up with a bright flash and a wave of heat.  The ball of flame ignites the oil dripping from the ceiling as well, although it doesn't burn as well.

Roll 2d6 damage for the patch in front of the chest, then 1d6 for the following round.  The ceiling and the floor have 1d6 damage each, with no additional rounds.
