This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Werekoala

Your hook spears into the giant goblin - he squeals and swipes at you with a hand as big as you are! From behind, you feel cleavers dig into you as you are swatted across the clearing.

((Rolled a 20 but no crit for one goblin, another had a "regular" hit, and the giant hit as well - total damage 19 points, if you can make a DC15 Dex check, you can remain on your feet, but about 15' from the giant next round. If not, you are prone again. Sigmund on deck.))

Sigmund

Dismayed at the resilience of the giant goblin, Grimrock calls down another lightning stroke from the air above the creature.

Werekoala

The giant goblin staggers under the second blow of electrical vengeance, falling to one knee!

((Reflexes are something that happen to other people - this is a giant goblin.. :)  Drohem, your turn.))

Drohem

OOC:  Did the giant goblin hit Murni with his +4 AC bonus?

Drohem

Murni tucks into a tight ball and rolls with the powerful blow by the giant-sized goblin.  As his rolling slows down, Murni uses the energy to roll himself onto his feet, crouched and ready to fight still.  He chokes up on his weapon and, using the hammer end, he tries to crush the skull of the nearest goblin to him.

===============================================

OOC: Murni fails his Dexterity check.

Move Action: Stand up from prone.
Free Action: Take a 5-foot step if necessary to attack nearest goblin.
Standard Action: Hammer attack using Power Attack hit AC 11 for 15 damage.

Werekoala

Murni swings a might blow, but is still dazed from his unscheduled flight and misses (AC16 on these guys).

The giant goblin shakes his head and stands, seemling dazed for a moment, before he locks eyes again with Murni! The smaller goblins are scattered but turn and charge at him, flailing wildly (and missing)! Even the two that are near death seem desperate to score a blow on the gnome!

Sigmund

Setting his eagle jaw, Grimrock calls down another stroke of lightning on the giant goblin, and then prepares to fly down closer to the battle.

Forgot to include in the die roller notes that this is for the lightning damage :D

Then Grimrock flies down to a position in a tree behind Murni, but not far, maybe 10ft up.

*boom* - another flash of lightning! The giant goblin stiffens, sighs, and falls over with a deep-felt *thud*... and reverts to normal goblin size.

Drohem

Murni gives in to instinct and moves and attacks as he weapon commands.  He swings the hammer head down on a goblin, but the spiteful creatures easily dodges the blow.  Undaunted, Murni follows through with the hook head and sinks it deep into the flesh of another goblin.

==========================================================

Full-Round Action: Murni attacks with his double weapon and the hammer hit AC 12 and the hook hit AC 27. The hook deals 7 points of damage.
Free Action: Between his hammer and hook attacks, Murni takes a 5-foot step.

Werekoala

One of the goblins (pre-injured, rolled 50/50) falls under the spike of your hammer, as the others pummel you from all sides! You feel a sting in your shoulder as one hits (3 points)!

Eagle Grimrock calls another lightning bolt from the air upon one of the remaining goblins, and then descends to the ground behind Murni, landing lightly a couple feet away.

*pop* - not even a doubt this time, the little scamp goes to meet his maker in short order.

Total so far: PCs 3, Goblins 0 (3 goblins left, and they're looking nervous)

Drohem

Murni is surprised at seeing a large eagle fly out of the night sky and land behind him.  Since it didn't attack him on his decent, Murni assumes that it means him no harm and probably is the source of the lightning bolts.  However, all of that flashes through Murni's mind because he is intimately concerned with the goblins trying to hack him to pieces.  Murni slams his hammer into a goblin and then sidesteps and misses another goblin with the hook end of his weapon.

==========================================================

Full-Round Action: Murni attacks with his double weapon and the hammer hit AC 27 and the hook hit AC 13. The hammer deals 10 points of damage.
Free Action: Between his hammer and hook attacks, Murni takes a 5-foot step.

Werekoala

The goblin slumps to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut and, upon seeing the eagle fly into the clearing, the remaining two goblins turn tail and flee.

((You can pursue if you like, or ranged attack for one round before they reach the treeline and become lost in the darkness - either way, Sigmund is up))

Sigmund

Eagle Grimrock tries to chuckle, ends up accomplishing nothing but a strange choking sound, sighs in eagle, then reaches out with his mind and taps the nearby life energy of the forest and channels it through his beak as he pecks Murni in the leg.
