This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ruel Knudson is the Game Master for the inaugural adventure for the Ironwood Nexus Community Play-By-Post gaming. The adventure is a sneak peak at the forthcoming retail adventure module for the Fantasy Sagas game line entitled: Desecration. In this adventure, penned by E-RPG and Fantasy Sagas creator, Ruel Knudson, characters will embark on a quest to rescue fellow treasure hunters from entombment and certain death following a mishap exploring ancient ruins near a small trade way. The adventure marks the first addition to the Play-By-Post forum at the community, which is now open to any Game Master or player wishing to start their own adventures online. The features of the Nexus Community make it an ideal format for casual online gaming. Since it went live in 2006, the Nexus community has had a host of recent changes. Additional BB-code automatically, and fairly, determines die roll results for players. Also, the forum has attachments enabled for character sheets, player handouts, and other material for easy referencing. The Fantasy Sagas Expanded Character Sheets also help with tracking and modifying information. To moderate this, community members join one of two groups for play, Game Master or Player, which enables different permissions on the forums. For instance, players can download material, but only the Game Master can upload them. Game Masters also can edit posts to remove unwanted, or game breaking material, to protect the continuity of their stories. User campaign blogs can also be used to summarize in-character and player impressions of the stories.

Play-By-Post is a feature open to all Ironwood Nexus Community members. If you are interested in taking part of these events please register (its free!). The play-by-post campaigns use the E-RPG rules system which you can try for free, or purchase in one of the many available formats from our online retailers.   Play-By-Post offers players a chance to play E-RPG Sagas at their pace. The online forum means no trips, no scheduling problems, and deep and immersive game play. It is also a great format for learning the rules and trying out Sagas in a friendly and open environment. We are very excited to be able to host this format with the existing features we've applied, and will continue to look for ways to improve the experience. If you haven't already, check it out! The table is open, and ready for players!
