This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

You move down the corridor some 40 feet. Your torch light reveals the gaping mouths of two offshoot hall ways, one to your left and one to your right. These seem to be smaller than this one only a bout 10 feet wide. The current corridor also continues forward passing the two offshoots.

Ari stops at the right corridor and illuminates it to see what it is about.

He whispers, "Those in the rear rank keep a weather eye peeled for anything that may want to slip up on us!"

Holding his torch aloft he peers down the right-hand corridor...

Ari glances at Quobbles before he heads to check the left corridor, "Do you need a torch?", he whispers as he offers one from his pack.

AndrewSFTSN

Quobbles nods and points to Aiden.  "Wind the crossbow lad, and take that torch.  Be ready to hand me the weapon!"

He looks at the rest of the party.

"I'll head down there- no more than 40 feet though, then I'll be back."

Ari passes them a newly lit torch and then turns back to the right corridor and looks down it once more.

Arkansan

Ari: Your torch reveals only that the corridor continues further down.

Quobbles: You move forward 30 feet before your torch light reveals the opening to yet another passage on your left, this one however seems to be rather short as you can see dimly lit outline of a room.

AndrewSFTSN

Whispering: "Aiden, wedge that torch into a gap in the wall, then scuttle back and bring the others forward.  We should check that room."

The crossbow is levelled along the short passageway into the room.

Once Aiden creeps back and alerts the rest of the party Ari move as quietly as he can until he is next to Quobbles.

He whispers, "Are you checking it out first, or do you want Brogar and I to go? You might be a bit quieter than the two of us, but it's up to you..."

AndrewSFTSN

"Until we can determine that stealth is needed rather than brawn I say:  After you, gentlemen!"

Ari nods, and glancing at Brogar to make sure he's ready, slowly moves down the hallway, all the while eying the doorway entrance. When he gets to the doorway he looks in - at the ready!

Arkansan

You make your way into the room, as it begins to light up you see that it is empty save for the corpse of a hobgoblin and a single other skeleton.

pbj44

Ari eases into the room and goes to Hobgoblin to check him out and see what killed him.

AndrewSFTSN

Quobbles checks the skeleton for signs of injury, any possessions, and general age of dead-ness.  What position is it in?

And are there any doors in this room?

Arkansan

Ari: the hobgoblin seems to have been dead at least a day. It lies in pool of its own blood, now drying, it appears to have been stabbed. Next to him lies a mace.

Quobbles: the skeleton is but a few feet from the hobgoblin, it is hard to tell the age but it wears no clothing. It is clutching a a splintered shield in one hand and a sword in the other. The sword appears to be bloodied as well. The skull of the  skeletons is partially shattered.
