This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The stair case appears to go down quite a ways, the light from the torch does not reach the bottom. The stairway down is about ten feet wide, the steps themselves are shallow. The corridor is arch shaped with a high ceiling.

OOC:
It seems we are rather short of players at the moment, should we put this on hold for a bit and see if people filter back, or just push ahead?

Chugosh

OOC sorry. Wife in the hospital. Distracted.

Brogar follows in his spear ready for a quick throw.

Arkansan

OOC: Woah, sorry to hear that, I wish her a speedy recovery. I didn't mean that harshly, I was just saying that it may be easier to put this on hold a bit until everyone is in a good spot again. I don't mind at all as it just gives me more time to work on the dungeon.

Chugosh

Ooc: no problem. Thanks. It is being a very long week!

Ooc: Okay, let's pick up again, like, Wed or Thur?

AndrewSFTSN

Quobbles looks up at the bigger star over the staircase.

He whispers-  "If one of you taller chaps gives me a boost up, do you think I could prod that with the butt of my spear?  I remember a fable my dear old mother used to tell me about falling stars, and it didn't end prettily.  As long as it doesn't move, I bet those stairs are safe enough."

OOC:  Back and ready to go.

Ari gladly gives Quobbles a boost up to check out the star.

AndrewSFTSN

Assuming nothing looks off as Quobbles is raised toward the star, then:  PROD.

Chugosh

Brogar carefully watches the surroundings as Ari and Quobbles check out the star.

Arkansan

You prod the image..... there is a slight thud as your pole makes contact, you wait with breath held for a moment, but nothing seems to happen.

pbj44

Ari sways and sweats below, "Hey, what's happening up there?"

AndrewSFTSN

"Keep your grundies on down there..."

Quobbles jumps down.

"Seems like decoration.  Let's take the stairs."

He hangs back until the warriors take the lead.

Ari nods at Quobbles, then torch in one hand, sword in the other, begins down the stairs...

Chugosh

Brogar follows close behind, his shield ready and his spear in hand for an opportunity to throw.

Arkansan

You begin the descent down the stair case into the blackness below. A cold, stale air wafts up from the depths. Your footfalls echo hollowly off the shallow steps and through the corridor. Your torches do not cast enough light to see to the bottom of the way.
