Miron nods in agreement with Kazmak's assessment and sighs before saying, "perhaps one of you can see your way to lending me twenty gold as a short-term loan?  I will pay two gold interest on the loan no matter what, and I will pay another two gold if it takes longer than a month to pay you back.  It should be enough to purchase a sword and armor, either leather or a gambeson.  I am afraid that kaz's is right and that we may run into... mischief on this job.  Common folk like us always end up on the bottom of any noble business."

faster bookkeeping than writing out "gp/sp/cp" all over and doing conversions.

(unless you are interested in exchange rates and non-base 10 denominations! it'd be a hoot to work off six pences and pieces of eight -- and then convert it to drachma and shekels!)

Oh, and it's also a breakdown of expenses, with unlisted items rounded to what I thought would be its nearest equivalent. Each related grouping has a subtotal as well, for easier summation.
