This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

" Well ...JoJo, somethings get me a little over zealous...like Musiccubes..."

Diverting his attention to the extra piece, Denny tries to figure out it's purpose, And tries to gleam anything from his familiarity with Contemporary technology... remaining silent and typing back to Blinov,   IT COULD BE, and shows the Compad Message to Jolene

After a few tense moments of silence, you realize that the prototype is not wired for sound. This is not a bug, but a global positioning system. It blinks softly as you examine it, sending its signal back to its home base even now.

" I don't think it's wired for sound... But someone knows our exact location... For his own safety I don't think we should take this thing back to the Doctor with us..., maybe we could take it somewhere out the way...throw em off the trail as it were"

"No, we can't just ditch it, or they'll know we know, and that could get messy. I say we call the doc up on the compad right now, tell him what we found and see what he thinks."

Opaopajr

"Well I was thinking of visiting a certain farm in need after lunch, myself, if you two catch my meaning..." Jolene is looking devious, and it's a touch unsettling on her. "We got any stick 'um paste that'll adhere to a hard shell?"
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

" That could work, we could lure the would-be stalkers to the overrun Q weevil Farm...We should call the Dr. though"

Denny Dials the Good Doctor on the Compad and fills him in on the situation...everything up to this point and including the  Bone X-ray, which as he's speaking to the Doctor he realizes he forgot to tell his partner's about...ahh well hopefully they're listening in..

When you reach Dr. Nadir, his speech is a bit muffled through his breathing mask. He seems annoyed at NME's tracking device, though after spitting a few alien curse words, he calms down. "Perhaps I should've seen this coming," he laments briefly. "While NME has always been content with our business relationship in the past, it was only a matter of time before they'd try to get their hands on the Perimeter Base's secrets. Why, we have some things in the Gallery that I'm sure Iijima would gladly turn in to her daddy to get her promotion. Hell, maybe they really don't have some secret project to replace the x-cell, and this was all just a ruse to track down our lab!"

"A bone?" he asks when you mention the x-ray on the desk. "I...I'm not sure why NME would have anatomical x-rays. Unless you suppose those were private medical records, either of Iijima or some subordinate? Hm. If NME does indeed have a new secret energy project, perhaps there were worker injuries?"

Denny passes on the com pad conversation to his partners...

" Well I think that settles it, We need to get NME off our trail, I think we Go to the Qweevil infested farm, and lure whoever's tracking us right into a den of Qweevil's. Hopefully they'll exterminate them for us, and we'll have an opportunity after the fight is all out of them to confront them about what they're doing!, What about you guys, what do you think...then afterwards we can visit the Hospital and see if anyone from the new NME job site is in there on a work related injury?? "

"Sure, but that X-ray business got me thinking... I think we and the base staff should get ourselves X-rayed at the next opportunity. What if someone's been implanted with a bug of some sort?"

There's a twitch of paranoia in Blinov's eye.

RookieRPG

Denny looks like a deer in the headlight towards Blinov...says nothing, and just blinks...twice

" I don't think you have to worry about your body being bugged, Blinov...unless you have been having some problem's lately?? Was there ever a time when you lost track of time??"
Tarawa: IC

"... You know what, never mind. That's just the ignorant street urchin in me flipping out. Let's just go."

RookieRPG

" Never the less Street Urchin's are pretty smart... Maybe we should head back and get checked out...I just gotta pick up some concert tickets before we go!"

OOC: We can either drop the Transmitter off at the Qweevil farm on the way back and just leave back to base after that...or we can wait and confront whoever comes, doesn't matter to me....

Mr. Kent

You stop off at Dolly's for a quick lunch. She offers up some crispy fritters with Thalian herbs. YUM!

Tickets to the Deadhog concert are available at UnLocal, the club catering to offworlders. In an offshoot dome you find that the place is still quietly prepping for its evening business, but the girl at the front desk is selling tickets--well, the few tickets that are left. They run for 75 credits apiece. You see from UnLocal's marquee that S'MOOV is playing here tonight--they open for Deadhog at tomorrow's show.

Leaving the club, you catch a glimpse of Nia Tran, Blinov's old cohort from Shaddai, concert tickets in hand, hailing a shuttle bound for Jessup.

Before returning to the pick-up, you receive a ping on your compad. Aleksandr Turov is leaving Qetesh for a bit--something about those Marine vets murdered on Shaddai. He'll says he'll return when his business is concluded.

With all errands in Q-Town taken care of for now, you take a short drive to the Amity Family Farm. A young lady in overalls greets you, setting down her tools and emerging from an oxygen tent. She smiles eagerly at you through her translucent oxygen mask. "Are you the Perimeter Agents?" she asks. "I'm Katie Amity! I'm surprised Dr. Nadir responded so quickly--oh, a good kind of surprised, I mean! Please come in! The qweevils are riled up something terrible today!" she warns you, and ushers you into the farmhouse.

Blinov buys the tickets and runs over to socialize with Nia before she rides off, paying special attention to see if her responses to his friendly but concerned queries betray any half hidden qualms. If possible he tries to get some street info while he's at it.

Mr. Kent

Blinov:
Nia Tran is cheery, but…evasive. You notice she's carrying what looks like an overnight bag. She casually slips her concert tickets into her pocket as she speaks to you, trying not to call attention to them, but it's too late to ignore the tickets' bright red color. From what you saw listed at UnLocal, the red tickets are VIP passes, costing at least twice as much as regular tickets.

She shoots the breeze a bit. "Steer clear of the Golden Orb, it's still an active crime scene," she advises you, and shakes her head. "The bartender at the Prairie Dog says there's no way they're gonna catch the killer. It totally stinks of organized crime, if you ask me. Like the Bratva back home on Shaddai, remember?" she asks with a playful nudge. "But do they even have that on a world like Qetesh?"

She laments the fact that her shuttle to Jesup is about to leave, else she'd stay and chat longer. Nia pauses before entering the cab. She gives you a tight hug. "Take care of yourself," she says urgently, and then is shuttled away.
