This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sanke speaks up, "Well, we ain't going to get any crew offa Hideout! Course we gotta sell them guns - if we can unload them without getting suckered and killed."

Violet nods, "I can help out with that if I can get close enough to the pow-wow to get a read on the participants. We might even find a crew member worth hiring if we're lucky. The supercharger will have to wait until we get to civilization I think. No parts available on Hideout."

The next week passes quickly with all the needed work being done on the ship's systems. The day before you are scheduled to exit jump space you all take a well-deserved break and gather for a good meal.

Violet nods at both of you, "Well, with the exception of the supercharger, we are now good to go. All system cross checks show green, and that time we spent calibrating the sensors was well worth it."

Sanke smiles, "The ships guns are working fine. I ran the checks backwards and forwards and couldnt find any glitches or errors. The last time I was on Hideout, the main town was a place called Freemont. This is where everyone meets and does business. And, any business done in Freemont means that Boss Krag gets a cut. He tried to have my head removed over a mis-understanding, and I barely got away with my life. He's not much of a people person and he's made war for decades against the outlaying towns and ranches. I can pull a map of Freemont if you want it."

"Let's see it, but understand, after getting into the Captain's Tablet, it said coordinates will be sent when we enter system...When we get there, first thing is to top off fuel tanks, there's water there so will be easier...then drop off cargo miles from meet with a beacon on it, that way they don't use on us, and you manning the guns."

Sanke grunts, "You might want to forget about the whole thing then. You will never get Boss Krag or any of his men out in the open -  with our ships guns leveled at them. If you want to do business with Boss Krag then you will have to go into Freemont - under his guns. That's the law."

Here's a map of Freemont:

Quote from: pbj44;752432@Radek – A message pops in on your comm link. It's coordinates on the surface of a planet called Hideout.

Are these coordinates located in town?? or else where...???

Looking over Sanke's map you line up the coordinates and now see that the delivery location is shown on the NE corner of the map as area #14, The Freemont Rocket base.

Sanke grunts, "Hmm...nobody really knows what goes on there, though there's a lot of loose talk. I personally think he stores all his loot there."

He moves the map display about for a few seconds and then focuses it on a certain area.

"There. I marked the rail station on the map with that red star. That's the only way folks can get into the Rocket Base without getting shot."

"I suspect that this is where we are supposed to load the guns for transport."

The rest of your Jump space time passes uneventfully. Shortly after the ship's computer chimed that Jump time was complete, the Empress Mariko enters normal space on the fringes of Hideout's system.

"ALERT! ALERT! YOU HAVE ENTERED A QUARANTINED SYSTEM! CONTACT WITH THIS SYSTEM'S INHABITANTS IS FORBIDDEN!"

"ALERT! ALERT! YOU HAVE ENTERED A QUARANTINED SYSTEM! CONTACT WITH THIS SYSTEM'S INHABITANTS IS FORBIDDEN!"

You eventually turn the automated comm channel off.

Sensor sweeps reveals no nearby vessals.

You set your course for Hideout...

"OK, folks...1. we need to find a lake somewhere isolated and refuel.

then 2. we go  directly to the coordinated we were sent, am assuming that everything is set for us...no contact, Sanke, you stay locked into the Weapons and Sensor Room...Violet, I want you out of site but close enough to alert me of anything...I am planning on a "No Contact" exchange, i.e. placing the cargo outside, and payment be done remotely as well. Any Questions??"

Travis checks the Capt's Tablet to see if anything else has been sent, as well as any instructions other than what we know so far...

Within moments of powering up the tablet a request pops up on the screen requesting permission to update the tablets current location.

The cursor flashes next to:

Yes or No?_

As all of you wait, the tablet updates and a message pops up in a window.

Sanke nods and reads a new set of coordinates.

"Looks like the drop site has been moved to an abandoned farm."

He touches area 14 on the map and glances at Travis.

"What do you think?"
