This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Drohem;751120OOC:  What?  Did I miss something?  Anyway, we aren't using torches for light.  Peldic has a hooded lantern.  Unless someone wants to have lighted torch as well, of course.

Quote from: pbj44;750750Clearing some room in the archway, you are soon able to push through the debris and enter a tunnel.

The tunnel itself has a dry musky smell to it - one reeking with cloves. Moving around the corner, torch on high, you feel a bit odd for a moment.

Glancing back, you see that what was once the archway and tunnel behind you, is now a dusty dead-end.

OOC - Yeah, yeah, blame Phil!:)

The party watches Hurtag move through the debris and move into the tunnel. You are surprised when you see both him and his light source wink out! The tunnel is now empty...

Jolly nods and motions to move forward.  Looking back at everyone else, he waves them forward too.

It takes but a moment for the rest of the party to make the transition. The first things you notice is both the stench of cloves and the teeth chattering cold. Hurtag informs all of you that the cold just began the moment all of you arrived.

Looking about, you see you are all in the Southern leg of a rough hewn tunnel leading to a four-way intersection.

Drohem

Jolly shrugs his shoulders and points toward the western hallway and motions for Hurtag to move forward.

Hurtag moves forward and takes the west corridor. After walking for a short way he arrives at yet another corner. The hallway going forward is nearly frozen! Looking closely you see a heavy iron door hoary with frost. There are two heavy wooden doors opposite it - both covered with frost as well.

Hurtag moves his torch up to some of the frost, does it Melt?? if so, how fast does it re-freeze...

The frost hisses and melts, but with the area being so cold, it soon begins to freeze once more.

Drohem

Jolly points to the iron door and asks, "Foromo, what can you discern about that door?"

pbj44

Foromo studies the door for several  minutes. The only area on the door that seems a bit less iced up is a small bit of decorative ironwork near the top of the door.

Does it look like a release mechanism, or an alarm of some kind???
