Counting carefully, you determine that there are 22 children.

Beyla says, "The children say that they are all here, that the bad folk have not taken any yet to the "bad" place. We must get out now! They will surely be back soon for their victims!"

Jolly says, "let's get these children out of here now.  We'll find Baldue and get them to town."

For once you actually catch a break and arrive back in town with the Children safely. The is a tumultuous reception for you as word spreads of your achievement! The Brazen Strumpet's innkeeper informs you all that your money is no good there any more and gets each of you a private room (with tub!). No one allows you to pay for food or drinks and you are begged incessantly to retell the tale - over and over again.

The Lord's Privy Council declares a week of feasting in your honor!

We rest for a couple of days and then get back to our mission for Beyla.  Who knows what those dirty cultists have been up to during our downtime these last couple of days!  

While in town Jolly will request an audience before the Lord's Privy Council.  He will explain to them the circumstances of the children's rescue and Beyla's mission (tactfully leaving out the specific details of it came to pass).  He will then respectfully request some funds so that some of his companions can get better arms and armor before returning to finish their mission.

Almost finished with my Traveller character too.  He enlisted into the Merchants and spent five tours.  He achieved Rank 3 before mustering out of the service.

(OOC - Agree, though at this time I can afford most of what I need. yes, we get close but have yet to finish our quest with Beyla, and that weighs heavy...have specific things am thinkin of for my characters...

Jolly, Visiting with the Lord's Privy Council yields good results. The dramatic rescue of the children has convinced them that the party has what it takes to clean out the Barrowmoors of the worst of it's undead.

They give the party 750gp as a reward for services rendered.
