Beyla leaps into the kitchen and flings a jar of flour into the air! For a moment you catch a glimpse of the dimly outlined forms of the two Hags!

It was a surreal moment in time as the swirling flour dusted everything in the area, but that moment was gone in a flash of steel and stone.  Mergo let fly a stone from his whirling sling at the outline of the hag that was not holding the child in the air.  Confident of his target and his aim the stone flies accurately with with force.

A split-second after the stone leaves Mergo's sling both Jolly and Peldic streak across the room to attack the hag holding up the child.  They both stab at the hag's torso trying to take her down quickly and avoid hitting the dangling child.

OOC:  Mergo rolls a 16 and hits AC 3 for 2 damage.  Jolly rolls a 15 and hits AC 4 for 6 damage.  Peldic rolls a 14 and hits AC 5 for 2 damage.  I rolled a 2 for Round 2 Initiative.

With a ragged gasp the Hag drops the child and collapses!

She points and begins to wheeze a curse at Jolly, "Wither thee...cough...burn thee...cough...

GM rolls 4 for initiative.

Her sister howls at her twin's demise, and then screeches as Mergo's stone strikes her with a solid thump!

"I'LL SPOON YOUR EYEBALLS OUT!" she screams as she leaps through the air at Mergo!

She crashes into Mergo who somehow manages to barely keep his face away from her slashing nails which snap furiously but a fraction of an inch away from his eyes!!

Mergo backpedals as he draws his sword and wildly stabs at the hag trying to claws his eyes out.  His attack was defensive and just an attempt to keep her at bay for a moment.

Jolly and Peldic rush to Mergo's aid and stab at the hag furiously.  As the hag sidesteps Peldic's thrust she moved directly into Jolly's precision stroke.  Jolly's blade pierces the hag's spine with destructive force.

OOC:  Mergo rolls a 3 and misses.  Peldic rolls a 6 and misses.  Jolly rolls a 19 and hits AC 0 for 4 damage.  I rolled a 3 for Round 3 Initiative.

The Hag screeches as Jolly's blow connects! She then astounds the party by uttering a single word that allows her to dodge all remaining attacks as if they were executed in slow motion! As the last swing is dodged, time returns to normal as the Hag executes a backflip and lands in front of Hurtag, shredding him for 6hp with her terrible iron nails before her outline fades - invisible again!

OOC - GM rolled 4 for initiative, and attack roll of 19. Okay, your go!

Hurtag swings back (OOC - rolls 18 AC1, for 9 pnts dmg)

Hurmak continues to protect the children...by swinging his spear wildly...(OOC - rolls 5 to hit...)

OOC - I could tell you the word but uttering it would turn any character doing so into a Hag!

Back at the doorway, "WHO KILLED MY SISTERS!"

There is a "whoosh" in the air and then you hear Shirl gasp as she flies backwards to the ground! Her cloak is badly ripped!

An evil chuckle fills the room causing the children to cry out in panic!
