This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The 6 undead warriors jump the party and attack fiercely up and down the line. For a moment all is confusion with the wildly swinging lantern highlighting the arc of the swings of many blades. As the initial clash ends, both Beyla and Mergo stagger back wounded.

Beyla cries out, "NO! MERGO!"

OOC- @rarmy - your rolls can stand now that the monsters have completed their attack. Beyla was hit for 5hp (1hd monster rolled 18 which hits ac1). Mergo was hit for 8hp (1hd monster rolled 19 which hits ac0).

Shirl strikes her opponents shield but does no damage.

Beyla, sore wounded, strikes her enemy but a feeble tap.

Foromo, Hurmak, and Hurtag each slay their opponents in spectacular displays of violence! Three undead warriors are left.

Go Jolly and Peldic!

GM rolls 4 for round 2 initiative.

Drohem

Jolly and Peldic try to wound the undead warriors but fail to land a telling blow.

==================================

OOC:  Jolly rolled a 9 and missed.  Peldic rolled a 7 and missed.  Mergo is at -2 HP.  I rolled a 3 for Round 2 Initiative.

The undead warriors press their attack furiously!

One of the monsters is able to plunge his sword through Shirl's leg for 5HP of damage! She moans with the pain but holds the shield line!

Concerning Mergo - Lets say that at 0hp you are unconscious losing 1 hp every round, they can go down to negative half their constitution score before death rounded up.

Thus:

Beyla, gasping with pain, reaches out and lays a healing hand on Mergo for 6HP restored! Mergo stirs and opens his eyes. (OOC -Next round he is active again)

Shirl gives punishment in kind to her attacker - shearing it's head off in a flashing display of swordsmanship!

OOC - Two undead warriors left! Okay party, your go! Finish these guys off!

OOC - GM rolls 3 for round 3 initiative - if needed.

Drohem

Jolly stabs his sword through the face of one of the Undead warriors with a satsifying thunk! sound.  Peldic tries to fend off any enemy going for Mergo as he awakens from his unconscious state by waving his sword menacingly.

Mergo awakes to find himself lying on the cold stone floor and instantly moves to touch his wound but discovered it healed by Beyla's holy magic.

"By the Hexarchs!" he exclaims softly to himself as his weapon instinctively reaches for his fallen sword.

He stands and picks up his shield as the combat swirls around him.  He steels himself to protect his friends and fight to the bitter end... again.

======================================

OOC:  Jolly rolls a 15 for his attack and hits AC 4 for 5 damage.  Peldic rolls a 8 for his attack and misses.  I rolled a 4 for Round 3 Initiative.

pbj44

Beyla sinks to one knee gasping for breath and clutching her side. The last undead warrior raises his sword on high for a two-handed finishing blow! Beyla snarls, "I do not fear you! Burn in the underworld for your betrayal of the Holy Hexarchs!"

She raises her holy symbol and the creature staggers back ablaze with white fire. It grows still for a moment...and then explodes! For a brief time it is raining armor and bits of body parts. Beyla then collapses on the floor exhausted.

The fight is over.

OOC - 200xp for the fight.

(OOC -  Hmmm, as I was rereading the Paladin in the Manual, totally forgot that...

They radiate protection from evil in a 10' radius at all times.

Protection from Evil
Level: 1
Duration: 12 turns
Range: Touch
This spell wards a creature from attacks by „evil‰ creatures. It
creates a magical barrier around the subject that moves with the
subject. The subject gains a bonus to AC of –1 and a +1 bonus
on saving throws. Both these bonuses apply against attacks
made or effects created by evil creatures.
In addition, this spell prevents bodily contact by summoned or
created creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of
such creatures to fail, and the creatures recoil if such attacks
require touching the warded creature. However, these creatures
can attempt missile attacks. The protection against contact by
summoned creatures ends if the warded creature makes an
attack against or tries to force the barrier against the blocked
creature.
Protection from Evil 10' Radius
Level: 4
Duration: 12 turns
Range: Touch
This spell functions exactly like the spell protection from evil ,
except protection from evil 10Ê radius extends the protective
barrier to a 10Ê radius around the caster or subject, allowing
companions to stay close and gain the benefits of the spell.

I think we need to remember this as we go in...and why Hurmak is next to Beyla w/AC4 vs Evil...hope it helps.)

OOC:  Where did you read that a flute whistle was dropped?  Also, several party members are badly wounded.  Beyla has -5 HPs, Shirl has -5 HPs, and Mergo has -2 HPs.  We need to heal up before we continue forward.  I think that Beyla is out of Heal spells after she healed Mergo.
