This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

OOC - LOL! I had the same mental image! "REGGIE, START THE PLANE!"

Everyone is very enthusiastic about making the underwater trip and soon enough you find yourselves back in the chamber with the enormous statue, where everyone collapses around a hastily created fire.

Baldue holds his head in his hands and begins to sob, "Them critters are the cruelest bunch I've ever seen! They started cutting me up and was just laughin' and enjoying themselves to a "T".

They pretended not to know how to speak our language when I asked them questions, just slapped me around till I got quiet, but I heard them talkin' when they thought I was knocked out, and they speak it real good.

There aint no good in 'em, and from their talk they took over this whole place long ago from the Dwarves. They killed off all of them folk...this is some kinda ancient outpost of the Dwarves. Sounds like lots of families lived here a long time ago.

This area that we're in is some kind of graveyard to these monsters  - holy ground - and they are madder than hornets that there's folk driften around up here. That's how they caught me - one of their spies was slippin' 'round and caught me when I - er - went to go to the can at the end of that hallway.

We aint gotta lot of time to find this here chaos pit. Them critters have got some Shamans stirring them up supthin fierce! They could come boilin' up anytime hellbent on killin' everything.

I just want ta say thanks fur saving my worthless hide. I...I..will try to be a better help to all of ya from now on...I aint never had nobody care enough to come back fur me anytime in my life, and I won't forget this."

Baldue then cries somemore.

Drohem

Jolly goes over to Baldue and puts his hand on shoulder and says compassionately, "I know you'd do the same for any one of us here too, friend."

Turning to Beyla, he asks, "can you see to his wounds?"

Speaking to everyone he says, "once we get dry we leaving this tomb and continuing our quest."

pbj44

Baldue nods.

Beyla takes some time out to clean and dress everyone's wounds. After taking some time to eat and dry by the fire everyone stands and shoulders their packs. They wait for Jolly to lead on.

Drohem

Jolly leads everyone back out to the door that they originally entered that had the bloody hand print on it.

pbj44

Moving cautiously back the way you came, you eventually pop out into the hallway and can now resume your hunt. Dead ahead is the door you originally entered this hallway by.

It is very quiet in the corridor, with no sign of your cult pursuers.

What do you do?

Drohem

We make our way back the large chamber that was littered with bodies and weapons from a battle.

pbj44

Moving down the hallway and through the door you at last come back to the scene of the recent battle.

Aside from the dried blood and guts, there are no signs of any gear or bodies, though lots of drag marks obviously head north up the vast tunnel.

On the wall opposite your map-indicated position is a chalk drawing of several constellations with serious effort having been made to erase the work.

What do you do?

Drohem

Jolly cautiously leads the group to follow the blood smear marks to the northwest of the great chamber.

pbj44

Moving forward up the vast silent hall the group comes up to a large open pit that stinks horribly! Moans and sighs rise up from the pit along with the wafting odor of death. Ahead your torches reveal two doors opposite each other. The are both closed.

What do you do?

Drohem

Jolly moves up the edge of the pit and looks down into it.  He motions for Peldic to come forward and direct the lantern's light down into the pit for a better view.

pbj44

The pit itself is deep - very deep! Some 20 meters below your feet, this vast hole is squirming with bodies from the battle. Many are still, while others feed on whatever is within reach. As your lantern's light shines down, the active dead raise their heads and begin roaring at you as they fruitlessly attempt to climb the walls of the pit.

Drohem

"By the Hexarchs!" Jolly exclaims when he sees the contents of the pit.

As he moves away from the edge of the pit, he whispers to his comrades. "watch the north door.  I am going to listen to the south door."

Jolly puts his ear to the southern door and listens intently while the others remain as still as possible.

pbj44

Listening to the South door does not reveal much; the sound of dripping water...

Drohem

Jolly tries to open the door as quietly as possible.

You open the door and look in:

Opposite your door is a large mural, lavishly carved from the living rock. One of the mural's hands clutches a dimly glowing, red veined stone. Thin streams of water weep from the mural's many eyes down to the floor.

There is a hush about the room.
