This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Foromo - Raising your hand up, you do feel some air currents at play. Back in your village over the years you have heard tales of Dwarven history, a history that tells of the ancient Dwarven nation - and the wonderful marvels that its immense underground cities held. But no one from your village ever claimed to have seen such. They have been lost for thousands of years.

The mechanical sound is coming from up the slope.

Foromo, almost like he's in a daze, starts forward...

As you wander forth into the frigid wind you pass graceful, floating, luminous fungi drifting by. Approaching the great sunken statue you are a bit uneasy; the statue depicts some kind of Elf, but the craftmanship is distinctly Dwarven.

Knowing how the Elven People had turned dark, what can I gleam from this statue...???

This particular statue's stonework looks very old - several thousand years old at least. The chisel marks on the statue are almost invisible, as though the statue was more molded than carved.

Getting to the top of the hill you see a great gate set into massive stonework:

Above the gate is a plaque - FahlZhardum Din

In common tongue it would mean - Blackreach.

The name means nothing to you.

Drohem

As Jolly and the other follow Foromo as he wanders in, he is looking at the path for any foot, or boot, prints.  He is looking for any signs or indication that Baldue may have gone this way before them.

pbj44

Beyond Baldue's crossbow in the original tunnel, there is no indication that he came this way. Jolly feels like he is freezing, while Beyla and Shirl are both turning shades of blue.

Drohem

Jolly tugs on Foromo's sleeve and says, "we can come back and explore this later.  I don't think Baldue came this way.  We must find our companion quickly if we hope to save him.  It's very cold here especially after being wet."

Beyla nods at Foromo, "I can see that being here means much to you. You know how to find us when you are finished. Hurtag will blaze a trail for you to rejoin us."

With that she turns to leave.

Drohem

Jolly nods at Foromo and says to the rest, "come on, let's go find Baldue."

He then leads them back out to the corridor and moves north toward the second door on eastern wall.
