This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

After waiting a few moments for his eyes to adjust, Foromo begins to see again. The corridor takes on a glowing bluish cast with strange dark shadows. But he sees no sign of the figure that Jolly described.

Beyla whispers, "Can we fire up some torches now?"

Drohem

Jolly whispers quietly, "Peldic, light the lantern please.  Mergo, please help don my armor."

Once Jolly has his armor on just right, he readies his shield.  He nods to his companions and moves out into the hallway and looks to the north and crosses the hallway to the first door on the eastern wall.  He listens at the door for a minute.

pbj44

Looking to the north, you can see that the hallway has a rising slope to it, climbing up to the other door. Lining the ceiling on either side of the northern corridor are two 3 ft diameter pipes, each with a strong copper finish.

Now that you stand in front of the first door, you note that, beneath the frost, the door is made of a polished metal that has the sheen of a bright penny. Moving your ear close to the door, you hear the distant drone of some kind of machinery.

Foromo, having followed Jolly, stands there and takes it all in...Hmmm, all this copper...

OOC - Going through the first door or on up the corridor?

Drohem

Jolly tries to open the first door.

pbj44

The large metal door pushes open easily to your slight touch. Ahead is a cavern lit in soft blue by strange fungi growths.

A path to your left drifts up the hill towards a bright light fixture. The air is bitter with cold.

Drohem

Jolly sucks in breath at the wonder of this strange place, and then says to Beyla, "do you know anything about this place?"

pbj44

Beyla shakes her head negatively, "No, this is beyond strange to me. I am confident that no one in these parts has every told a story of a place such as this."

"Odd...the plants seem to be swaying. How could there be a breeze down this far below ground?"

Drohem

Jolly looks to Foromo and genuinely asks him, "is this like your dwarven homeland?  Are your caverns similar to this?  Do you recognize anything, or does anything look familiar to you?"

Foromo stand there and looks...he absently responds back to Beyla "Remember that Vampire Wind back in the first place we visited???"

and he looks around, he brings his hand up to but not passing the door...is it wind?? or is it water (it looks like water)???
