This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Beastman jumps up with a deafening roar to challange you as the three humans flounder about this round, frantically trying to stand.

OOC: Question, if you are closing, then neither of you are allowed to strike for this round. But, if you are charging, you get +2 to hit; but the Beastman with the longer weapon goes first, and you get no dexterity adjustment to AC. Additionally, Jolly runs the risk of meeting a "set" weapon and taking double damage.

Just let me know!

Drohem

OOC:  Jolly just closes with him to attack next round.  He will rely on his size AC bonus against the huge Beastman.  Mergo moves into the room against the west wall and prepares to fire a stone with his sling.  Peldic moves into a position next to Mergo along the west wall and draws his short sword but still holds the hooded lantern in his off hand.

You hear Foromo muttering under his breath..."Hiho, Hiho, it's off to kill we go..."

Shirl leaps over the trap door and races up to the Beastman, sword singing for action!

Baldue brings up the rear running into the room, "C'mon guys, let's go kick some aaaaaaaaa!" and disappears through the trap doors!

OOC - GM rolls 3 for initiative!

The black clad humans jump to their feet and draw their weapons!

As Shirl and Jolly close with the Beastman, he swings a blow that would decapitate an Elephant! Jolly ducks under the blow, but Shirl cannot quite get out of the way and her shield rings like a church bell as the Halbard crashes into it! She cries out with the pain of it's impact!

OOC - Beastman rolls 17 ATT with 2HP DAM

OOC- Okay, it's the party's turn!

Drohem

Jolly steps in under the large weapon's arc and tries to stab the giant Beastman in the groin, but the Beastman sidesteps the incoming blow at the last moment.

Mergo winds up his sling to gain maximum momentum and targets the human opponent closest to Jolly, Shirl, and the Beastman.  With expert precision he lets his stone fly and it hits the man square in the chest with force.

=================================================

OOC:  Jolly rolls  4 for his attack and misses.  Mergo rolls 21 for his attack roll and hits AC -2 for 3 damage.  He targeted thug #3.

Shirl curses the Beastman who snorts with derision as he avoids her sword thrust! He then screams in agony as Beyla darts in and brings her mace down on his left foot with stunning force!

Mergo's thug drops dead from the bullet! The remaining two thugs begin screaming loudly for help!

OOC - Beyla rolls 19 to hit and 4 to DAM. Okay, new round: GM rolls 5!

Whoops! Go Foromo, Hurmak, and Hurtag before the new round!

The last of the human rabble hits the floor dead! Meanwhile, the enormous Beastman has his back to the wall battling the entire group with massive sweeps of his Halbard!

OOC - Okay Drohem, I rolled 5 for the new round's initiative!

Enraged, the Beastman swings a terrific cut at Beyla, who twists aside just in time! Pieces of stone flagging fly through the air!

OOC - Beastman rolls 3 to hit.

Okay team, your go!

Drohem

Mergo quickly and deftly loads another stone into his sling and sends it flying at the enraged Beastman.  However, with so many companions nearby Mergo finds it hard to get a good bead on his target and the missile flies wide and bounces off the stone wall behind the fray.

Once again, Jolly darts under the Beastman's great swing and lunges forward with a piercing stab directly to the Beastman's groin.  His blade sinks deep causing a terrible wound.

=================================

OOC:  Mergo rolls a 9 for his attack and misses.  Jolly rolls a 20 for his attack and hits AC -1 for 6 damage!

The Beastman collapses on the floor on his side, pants rapidly for a few moments, and then his eyes glaze over.

It is quiet now.

Just the sound of the team drawing deep breaths.

In the distance there is a muffled sound:

"Hey, help me!"

"Hello, is there anybody there??"

"Hey guys, I'm okay, my helmet broke my fall!"

"Guys...????"

"GUYS! GET ME OUTTA HERE!"

"mommy..."

Sobbing sounds...

50XP for the encounter!
