This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Moving down the hallway to the east:

Looking ahead into the vast space as far as torchlight permits you see a scene of great slaughter. It looks as though hundreds of people have been ripped into pieces. Weapons, armor, clothing, and flesh are strewn about the region, with the floors still slick with entrails and body fluid.

You now hear some faint laughter and Ondish voices due south of your indicated position...

As you are pondering your next move, a massive cloud of colored smoke roils up from the south and blankets yourselves as well as the hall. It smells strongly of Sandlewood and is very pungent. The view to the south:

Drohem

"Back the way we came!" Jolly yells to his companions and moves quickly back down the hall toward the stairs up to the graveyard.

The sandlewood scent seems to cling to your nostrils for some time. At some point you find yourselves all sitting down on the steps up to the crypt - just idling talking and mentally drifting, imbued with a powerful sense of good will.

This whole feeling is more of being drugged than poisoned...after a bit, your heads clear.

rarmy

Foromo - "What the Hey?? What spell was that?? Everybody OK??? Beyla???"

Hmmm...go through the stories, have I ever heard of the sandlewood smell, and feeling of good before???

Drohem

"Alright, let's go in again," Jolly says thoughtfully, "but if anyone smells that scent again then speak up immediately and we make for fresh air again."

pbj44

Moving back to the hallway you recently fled, you find it clear of the smoke, and now hear laughter and drowsy chatter coming from the passage south.

Drohem

Jolly puts his finger to his lips in the universal sign for silence, and then starts moving down the southern hallway toward the noise.

pbj44

As you move further down the hall the laughter and chatter grow louder. Soon you find yourself approaching a great room at the end of the corridor. Bright light shines from the room as well as the faint smell of the drug smoke. Baldue snorts, "Sounds like a party!"

Drohem

Jolly draws his sword from its sheath and moves toward the doorway to the room.

OOC - Are you moving ahead to scout, or is the whole team, light source and all, going with you?

Drohem

"Peldic," Jolly whispers, "hood the lantern."

He then motions everyone to follow him with his sword.

=====================================

OOC:  The whole teams moves toward the door with Jolly, but Peldic will hood the lantern for now.

As you move forward to the threshold of the room you almost fall through the floor! The floor sinks down in the middle, splitting open to reveal two seperate doors! (OOC - You passed your trap roll!)

Stepping back gingerly, the floor resets, and you are able to slip along the side of the wall and peek in:

Sprawled in the room smoking some kind of hemp are three humans dressed in black leather armor. Sported on the front of each black hauberk is a flaming, lidless eye:

Sitting across from them is a rather bored, powerful looking Beastman, at least 8 feet tall, eyeing the edge on his razor sharp halberd.

All are heavily spattered with blood from a recent battle.

Drohem

Jolly surges forth into the room at a dead run at the huge Beastman in an attempt to catch him and the others in the room off guard.
