This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Foromo - somewhere in the distance you hear your name called!

Jolly - The conversation to the North of you suddenly stops!

Torch Count: 2

pbj44

Shortly afterwards, you hear the Ondish voices resume, but now growing louder!

Beyla touches your arm and smiles, "They are coming back for us! This is wonderful!"

Drohem

Jolly beams at Beyla and as he starts walking down the northern hallway, he says, "come on."

As you resume walking up the Northern hallway, your torchlight reveals the source of the Ondish talk:

The creatures roar and begin to trot towards you!

Beyla cries, "By the Hexarchs, what are they?!"

Drohem

"We hold our ground," Jolly says to Beyla with a determined tone as he draws his short sword.

He slams his shield against the wall three times then yells, "FOROMO!  FOROMO!  FOROMO!"

pbj44

Jolly - As you cry out, the creatures slow and hesitate, looking at both beyond you and behind themselves. The leader urges them forward, but they creep forward reluctantly, fearful of ambush, and a distance opens between them and their leader - who rushes forward to attack!

Foromo - you now hear your name distinctly called out nearby!

OOC - GM Rolls 4 for initiative!

Drohem

Although he was prepared to fight, Jolly misjudged the creature's speed and deftness.  He takes a brutish and wild stab trying for an instant kill shot, but the creature easily sees the incoming blow and sidesteps effortlessly.

==================================================

OOC:  I rolled a 6 for Round 1 Initiative.  Jolly rolled a 1 on his attack and misses.

pbj44

Beyla swings her mace with both hands and brains the leader on his crown driving him to one knee.

OOC- ATT= 17 for 6 hp damage

With a roar of fury the monster rips at Jolly, tearing some of the fancywork off his shield!

OOC-Humanoid rolls 10 for attack.

GM rolls 2 for initiative!

pbj44

Crouching, the monster aims a terrific cut a Beyla who expertly weaves away from it!

OOC - Monster ATT = 8

Your go!

Drohem

Now that the creature is on its knees before him, Jolly thrusts a well aimed strike for center mass of the humanoid.

===============================

OOC:  Jolly rolled a 14 attack and hits AC 5 for 4 damage.

pbj44

As you bury your blade into the monster he groans and collapses dead. Glancing up you see the corridor ahead now empty. Your enemies have fled your presence.

Torch Count: 2

Drohem

Jolly examines the body closely with the torch and checks through its pouch or pockets.

===========================

OOC:  Is it a humanoid race that Jolly has seen or know about?

The monster is wearing some sort of cobbled together armor consisting of leather strips stiffening thick cloth. He looks to be some sort of cross between an Orc and a wolf.

Drohem

Jolly looks up at Beyla, "I've seen one of these things before.  Have you?"

He shrugs as he puts his torch to the creature and tries to set it on fire.

"What ever it is.  I don't want it coming back from the dead to try and kill me again," he says to Beyla.
