This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Drohem

"You hit it high and I'll hit it low," Jolly says as he rushes forward and attacks the Undead warrior.

He feints an attack to the creature's knee and then quickly buries his slivered blade into the creature's abdomen.

=================================================

OOC:  Jolly rolled a 19 and hits AC 0 for 4 damage.

pbj44

Beyla rushes in to support you and rolls:

The swordsman attempts to block her iron-fisted strike to his helm!

Beyla's furious blow crashes down through his parrying sword and strikes off his helm - with his skull inside (Beyla scores 6HP of Damage)  !

The warrior collapses and the torches instantly die. Take 50XP.

You are in darkness.

Drohem

"Well struck!" Jolly says cheerfully to Beyla.

He continues in a more serious tone, "Peldic is carrying my backpack.  I have no flint and steel or torches with me.  Do you have flint and steel?  Perhaps we can re-light those scones that just flared up?"

====================================

OOC:  During the brief time that the crypt was lighted by the torches do we see an exit?

pbj44

Beyla smiles at the praise, "the Hexarchs lent me the strength for a moment."

"I feel foolish. I have two torches, but no flint & Steel."

"Perhaps there are still some embers in the two sconces?"

Drohem

"Let us try," Jolly says as puts the dagger back in his belt.

He slowly and carefully walks across the crypt to where the scones were located using his memory while trying not to bang himself too badly into an obstacle.

"I hope Foromo and the others are fairing better than us," he says conversationally to Beyla as she gets the torches out.

pbj44

With a bit of luck you were able to painstakingly get a torch lit. You can now see the warrior, the room, the bier and an iron-bound door to the south.

Drohem

As Jolly moves over to examine the body, he says, "since we're here let's see if there's anything of value."

pbj44

Looking over the body your experienced eye tells you that both the mail and the longsword are of wonderful quality, obviously of the finest craftmanship from the previous age.

Drohem

As he stands up, Jolly says, "we'll have to come back for his armor and sword after we find the others."

He then moves over to the iron-bound door and attempts to open it.

#294
As is typical, the door is a real bear to open, but finally yields to your tender attentions.

With Beyla holding the torch, you look out and see:

For a moment you hear some shouting, very distant. You are not sure where it came from.

Looking to the left you see a sign with the painted red arrow: "Go this way."

Drohem

"Do we follow the arrow," Jolly says thoughtfully, "or strike against the obvious marker?"

After a moment he starts walking in the direction of the arrow and stops at the hallway branching off to the east.  He takes a moment to look down that direction and also listen carefully for any more distant noises.

pbj44

OOC - Green dots indicate Jolly and Beyla, green arrow indicates direction looking.

Looking around the corner and down the hall you see:

Somewhere down in that direction you hear the slamming of a door in the distance.

Torch Count: 2

Drohem

Jolly starts jogging down the hallway in the direction of the noise they just heard.

#298
As you jog forward you pass a small altar dried with blood sitting against a wall. The Fresco above the altar faded away long ago. (OOC - Marked by red dot.)

When you and Beyla get to near the corner you can hear receeding Ondish conversation to the North (OOC - direction of green arrow)

Drohem

"Enough of this!" Jolly says to Beyla.

He starts banging his shield hard against the wall for a few moments, and then yells, "FOROMO!  FOROMO!  FOROMO!"

He then repeats this sequence two more times.  He stops and then listens carefully for any response.
