This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sal nods, and after checking directions on his wrist computer gleaned from the security console ,the salvor deploys his 3-meter pole from the second rank and  motions in the direction the surveyors should proceed.

"Look high an' low, especially for sensors - laser beam tripwires, camera eyes, and such," he reminds everyone. "Which o' you lot speaks Squiddo?"

"I speak it, Sal." Tig said raising his left hand from the shotgun's fore end.

Drohem

With a deep, throaty moan of acknowledgment Smokey nods affirmative to the Skipper's question as he moves placidly walks down the hallway with his crew.  Smokey casually holds his prybar in his massive paw as he strides along.

The Butcher

Kane takes the lead (but never before Sal's collapsible 10' pole feels the ground ahead; Sal being just behind), rifle in hand.

What's the lighting like? Do we have anyone carrying an electric torch?

AS you round the corner you are faced with a long corridor, flickering fluorescent lights keeping a dim pallor over the passage. 100 feet down the passage opens into what seems to be the cargo teleport room. Along the right wall are two doors at roughly equidistant points between yourselves and the end of the passage which by their label appear to lead to the same room, while on the right are another three doors, separated between them by open archways that appear to head further into the ship.

Tig keeps on watching to the rear, but glancing aroud to keep all angles covered.  "Crap!  Where the heck did Kane go?  I mean he was right here, man!"

Black Vulmea

"Hang on." Sal pauses to check his wrist computer.

ooc: Based on what we see before us, which direction is the bridge?

Sal taps Smokey on the shoulder, and points at the doors to the right.

Quote from: Black Vulmea;666758Sal taps Smokey on the shoulder, and points at the doors to the right.

Smokey nods his massive head in acknowledgment and walks over to the door.  He still has his prybar in his paw, but he tries to open it the normal way first.  He looks for a button or symbol that indicates a way to open the door.

J Arcane

The call button for the door flickers and sparks as if it is on its last legs, but after a couple poundings the door hisses open with a gust of air that smells of stale seawater, though the room beyond is otherwise pitch-black and silent.

Smokey pulls off his backpack and puts his prybar away, and then rummages around until he finds his electronic torch.  He shoulders his backpack and adjusts it until it feels comfortable once again.

Before he turns the flashlight on he concentrates on the darkness and tries feel with his mind if any Plague Horrors are hiding in the darkness.

Black Vulmea

As Smokey reaches for the switch, Sal moves out of line with the door and draws his particle beamer, looking back toward the hatches and the open passages behind them.

Tig's swinging his shotgun around with his eyes, keeps his eyes moving, made a bit nervous by the disapearance of the team mate, but keeping it together, covering the party's rear.

J Arcane

As you reach out with your Bearman's senses, you feel no plague horrors directly in any of the surrounding rooms, but some vague sense tells you something unnatural is present, a cluster of about 5 auras of throbbing tiny things.
